Good evening to all.

I've been quietly reading and found the newbies with stabilisers thread.

I'm Raj and have a Focus Black Forest.

I've not been on a bike in a long while - the last one was an Emmelle road bike. So, I treated myself to the above and a load of kit to get myself out and about.

And its great.

I'll post pics' if I can but its an ally XC with Fox shocks.

Hi, i'm Ben, I ride a Kona Kula (hence the wildly exciting name!) and a Kona Dew Deluxe hybrid for pottering around. Yeah I like Konas! I live in Manchester, so you can usually spot me in delemere or the peaks. I fall off a lot!

New to this forum, so I thought I'd say hi.

I'm from the south west - Somerset / Dorset border.

I ride a Kona Blast 09. Only had it a month and a half and have become properly addicted to this MTBing lark!!

The bike is standard at the moment, but thinking of upgrading the standard cable MX4 disk brakes to some juicys for a bit more stopping power.

I haven't got any pics of me and the bike at the moment, but seeing as I fall off so much, there's bound to be one of me in a muddy puddle soon!

I'll stick up a pic of us at some point.

I'm from Eastwood in Essex. I cycle all the woods local to me and Hadleigh Downs, which is soon to be the home of the 2012 Olympics for MTB.

Although I've been riding for years it has mainly been commuting and general hacking about the town. I bought a Giant XTC3 a couple of months ago on the Cycle to work scheme and have now really got the bug for being off road.

It's replaced an 8 year old Giant NRS which has done great service.

I have the 09 514 and as soon as I saw the 2010 one I was a little miffed....
extra £300 tho so maybe not so miffed.

I've been riding for 15 years, mainly on a mountain bike - but I've had commuting and touring bikes too. I've done full suspension several times, but always come back to the embrace of a good hardtail.

I'm currently on a Pace RC305, pictured here in winter-ready singlespeed spec. I commute, mountain bike and just generally ride everywhere on one bike.

i'm tom, 28 and living in in herts at the moment.

i've been rinding my '99 marin since, well since '99 actually. it's been subject to a rolling upgrade process over the years. first thing to go was the ghetto spyders it came with, and recently i've updated the wheel set and put a new bars/stem combo on it, i've probably spent enough to get a nice new bike, but i can't quite part with the marin yet.



unfortunately it's out of action temporarily after sunday's ride, when this happened



wait no i mean this!



but the new tyre is in the post (hopefully) so should be back out next weekend.

You can blame your skinny steel downtube on your marin for that.
