Sorry but Attica does have a point. We are talking about a perfectly normal (ahem) aspect of cycling which many completely manly (cough) men take part in purely...and let me make this ABsolutely clear for the reason of cycling and NOT for the reason of having silky girly smooth soft legs better than the wifes....aaarrggghhh!

why couldn't you have just said Attica's or better still the Epilator belonging to Mrs Attica, theres alway's way's round it.

I make you an 8, Coriander.

I asked the Mods to put the rules on the first post...as well as a link to the FCN Calculator and Facebook site. :D

So anyone joining in late can see how far we have come

Well that was before MC Hammer and Vanilla bloomin' Ice reared their ugly heads in this post....I hope the culprits are ashamed of themselves...No, Really, I am :(

I've been a spectator on this thread for some time. Now I feel the need to voice an opinion: This thread has turned in to a farce!

BTW, I need cyclists to play THE GAME in South Croydon. C'mon the 'burbs!

    Fast Hybrid FCN7
    Speedo -1
    SPDs-1
    Panier with bag +1
    Mudguards +/-?
    = FCN 6?

I'll keep my atrocious music tastes to myself in future!

Damn your eyes Sir This Thread has ALWAYS been a farce.

I will admit that certain aspects, hip hop, thigh measuring, hair removal, roadie baiting, grammatical correction, haiku, ring punning, sledging, singlie tech geeking etc etc etc are dubious but rarely serious - as cancer (when I say Rhythm is a Dancer - OW!)

I think your FCN is ballpark on the money - are you a player?

  • Hi guys (and girls),
sorry I'm late. Just spent the last hour catching up on this fantastic thread and I think I'm now ready to play THE GAME!!!
Roadie + hairy legs + beard + spd puts me on FCN 5.
I'll have a BIG 5 on my backpack tomorrow. Leaving Colliers Wood at 6:10 all the way up to Westminster and back down again at 17:30.

    Catch me if you can!

    P.S. I'm not trying.

    Stop, STOP!

    We've lost our way!

Something has been troubling me for some time and I've just worked out what.

Back in the early days of this thread, there was broad consensus that part of silly commuter racing was that you MUST NOT acknowledge (on the road as opposed to amidst this virtual nonsense) that a race was ever happening. Lately there's been a lot of talk of badges and slogans and even spoke cards.

What gives? I think it smacks of heresy. Do we have a schism in the church? Who's going to play the Archbishop of Canterbury role and sort this mess out?

Am I right or am I just failing to adapt to a new era?

    Concerned,

    J

Litts you are off the posting pace large...

I suggest you take some time, get some carbs on board and have another bash tomorrow. Today mon ami I've dropped you large in the quip stakes.

It makes me feel much better for having been reamed this morning.

    Hmmmmm.........

I'll discuss this with the Game Attitude God Thor tonight via the medium of Ale.

He's always given good advice on matters doctrinal - if normally along the lines of "Man up you wet Pussy, stick a bigger gear on and feck off"

There is a danger - and an opportunity - that the game may break cover as something different...

These are changing times, but I remember even on page four drawing a big 5 (old rules)on my hump (in stupidly non waterproof pen - but it's all I had) to mark me out.....

A Reformation of the True Church!

We may need an inquisition - and who expected that!

Right - I'm off to do battle.

I don't know what I was thinking. I'll go home do some serious carb loading and ponder your wise words as I take some scalpy skinny skinny skin on my way in tomorrow
