A true scalp is not only overtaking someone but leaving them stopped at a set of lights. As you, who have clearly beaten the lights, pummels nothing but the open air ahead. ~ 'DondaddyD'. Player of the Unspoken Game0 -

After 2 weeks off the bike (the icy/snow week plus a week in France) I hit the commute in this morning and completely dominated a fellow commuter as I went up the main hill on my route, which felt so good I added an extra hill in.
Excitement slightly tempered by the discovery that my DBH tights are literally falling to bits after 2 months. Not impressed.
Now to get back on track for 2500 commuting km this year.
A very timely post. That rules out the DHB tights. I don't exactly go easy on clothes.
the pearl izumi ones are very good... not as nice as the Rapha ones though...Purveyor of sonic doom

I have to admit that it was reading GregT's posts that got me into this thread - not sure a fan club is the way to go though - anyone taking bets on the first post on page 600?0

Well after a painfully slow ride home from St John's Wood, I have now turned the Bowery into a girl's SS. It is currently a 46/18 - a very wimpy 69" gear - and has a freewheel.
I'm ashamed of myself.0 -
I have only 25 more miles to meet this weeks training target, i'm heading into Salisbury tomorrow morning and I will be looking for scalps :twisted:Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

Thought I was managing a bigger gear than LiTs, then I did a calculation and I'm beaten by a burd to the tune 0f 0.6"I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
A bit tired on this evening's commute, the result of a late night with work last night.
Am presently umming and arring over whether to open the wine. It's got my name all over it. It'll give me that extra oomph to buy those bib shorts.FCN 2-4.

You have a medical excuse...
Bring your 46/18 to the Cotswolds if you think its a wimpy gear
BTW, unless you are using 32c tyres, 46/18 is more like 67.5" :P0 -
Good.
Did you buy the shorts yet? Did you did you?0 -
As good as. They're in the basket. I'm now browsing for other stuff. Nothing in particular though. Just stuff.FCN 2-4.

I'll pass on the jersey on the basis that I have enough to get me through the week. I'm considering a chain though. ("No chain!!!! " I'll get me coat...)FCN 2-4.
