    A very nice young lady:

I was amazed by some of the ignorance there. OK, not everyone is going to know who she is, but:
. . . when a parent pushes her kid to get a photo with Wendy, then turns to me & asks who she is!
. . . when someone from the press asks what she won!

Umm errr,

Well had to be done, must lacquer it at some point, dead chuffed with it, what a result. 8)

That's terrible though people not knowing who she was, a great lass and very down to earth, got a picture of myself with her by liz, must grab it off her at some point and a group shot, might be in the west briton, i'll be the one wearing the helmet at the back. ;)

She will serve as a great inspiration to all riders especially down this way. :)

Can't wait to show off those tyres helen, though that hill you found killed me, i always did wonder where it went.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

They are meeting at 10am at Marsh Mills.

    I am happy to drive.

Thanks- having to take 3 pairs of tyres as i have no idea where we'll be ending up come tomorrow.

Helen do you think a 7pm meet at idless would be better, still quite light out there.

Well i managed to have an off and struggled, those mud tyres dragged like anything on grass, and the rest of the time grip was an issue, i shall be reserving them for purely crappy rides, on mud though they are still amazing tyres.

Was a knackering ride but it was a fast group we were with, dartmoor was surprisingly dry, we did a fair bit of the newhnam 90 course, very nostalgic to see some of the course again, loved that part.

Thanks to mark for taking us up there and back it's appreciated.

Amazingly i got no punctures or flats, i really expected that but i was running very high pressures as they have thin sidewalls anyway.

I had a nose of the p7 in the pitch dark the other day, it really surprised me, i will be getting a helmet mounted light at some point in the next few weeks maybe a fenix or something else.

hey mark , I did chat to you down boscowen park , I don't think you knew who I was.
Not been able to do much this summer , so Friday's ride is a good opportunity for any new riders + it wont be pitch black either.

Ermmmm, nope, don't remember Lee - when? (and where's Boscowen? - wow I sound stupid!)

    Anyway see you on Friday.

Dazzza - hope you are feeling alright. 24 miles of Dartmoor, averaging nearly 10mph, with very few stops certainly took its toll.
