Helen - I'd already done a 10 miler and a 4 mile trail run earlier that day so was a bit knackered!

This was an extra walk for the dog (who ran with me) and my wife who is too pregnant to cycle or run!

Was indeed nice and dry and found a few new lines to take on the "jumpy" bit too.

    Might be along next week.

Oh and most of you waved when I stopped in a very polite "thank you" gesture :D

It must be very quiet in Cornwall at the moment.

No postings on here for 5 days and the thread's on pg2 again.

Either the surf's good or you've all turned into 'roadies'

I just tend to post out of necessity, if anything doesn't particularly interest me you won't see me posting anything.

That and there's only so much one can talk about biking afterall. :)

Helen you'll love the lid, i find myself having to check if it's still on it's that light.

I will try to be out for bissoe, but im like a cat when it comes to water, if i can avoid it i will.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Still doing the daily ride but over Summer, we have people staying pretty much every weekend!
So anything but local rides are a bit off (as I'm gone a bit too long) - but still doing little Idless and Bissoe missions most weekends.

Surf been pretty poor - lots of running, riding and stuff instead!
  • I fancie a idless next week dependant on work...dont mind which day either just let me know....

Yeah i quite like the avatar, i used to be quite a java addict but now it's strictly decaf for obvious reasons.

The lid is a black/red giro ionos, i had that exodus for years so it was about time i upgraded.

Count me in for idless provided it's reasonable, i cba to change my tyres again.

Nice lid. Knocks spots off the Specialized Air Force 3 I've just bought.

    Anyway. . . . .

    Tuesday night - Idless . . . . . . . say 6.30pm at Volvo garage?

Sounds good to me, tuesday's are also one of our quieter days so it's good for me, the weather is meant to be good as well, picking up from sunday onwards.

Well i am tempted, i saw a focus cyno i think all carbon fibre, ultegra ice groupset, gorgeous bike.

It'll be a while before i do, maybe months or years whenever the time is best, i just fancy the change of scenery.

I'll still ride mtb of course.

Well that was an eventful ride, we had to call an ambulance out for another rider, i can't honestly remember his name only he had dreads and ride a big dh giant.

He had a bad off into a boulder and possibly cracked a rib, more will be known later of course, no pics though and no camera was about.

Anyway here's stuntman steve's off moment at minions last week.

Hi Guys and Gals of Cornwall,

Saw the video of yer man doing that 'Superman'. Looked very nasty, hope he's recovering OK. Still if you are going to have a spectacular crash, at least make sure it's on video!

We'll have to try to get a ride sorted out sometime. Just need plenty of warning.

Thought it was a really good ride too. Some great climbs & (probably) better decents joined by technical singletrack with a few hidden dangers.

Dazzza, next time we're out, watch out for those tree stumps at the side of the trail, just waiting to jump out at ya!

    How's the shoulder?

Shoulder is fine a bit sore but i should be good by tomorrow, i might be out and about tonight, weathers turning crappy tomorrow evening.

Actually i worked out what really happened, it was a rut on the left that wiped my steering out and caused me to go where i did,i was a bit dazed and confused at the time.

Yeah it was a good ride, mark seemed determined to kill me this round, said something about payback for carn brea. :P

Naaaa, he just kept lying down.

In all fairness it was a fun, technical ride and we were at time riding tails that were so overgrown you didn't know what you were riding on.

Not seen you in ages Helen. How you doin?

BTW next Thurs eve (3/7) I'm meeting up with a guy who is down on holiday. Going to pop up Bodmin. Anyone fancy coming along?

Fraid bodmin is a no go zone for a while, parents decided to smack their new car so im karting about in the impreza atm painful as that is.......

I managed to pick up 3 punctures, ffs that's just too many for one ride surely?!?!

So off to the lbs tomorrow for some decent patches.

Falling of, meh i just take it lying down. ;)

Actually id have been fine but only had what 0.000001 seconds to react otherwise id have landed fine. :P

I did go gym tonight due to all those punctures plus the wind is just plain silly, i had a really good run, lately my chest has been loosening up and i find my max heart rate twatting around 175bpm yet i don't feel ive killed myself heh.

    It's all gravy atm. ;)

    Now where's me coffee................

Well Kyle and I had a fun ride in Idless yesterday. Kyle was about 2512513451451 times faster on teh downhills but at least I was just about okay on the ascents - Mark - we made that uphill bit I challenged everyone to but failed (!!!!!) twice - so one achievement.

Only trouble was it was rather wet. Wet + downhills+ me = complete waste of space.

Finally dawned on me after a decent splat (into a tree/brambles) that worn down Fast Traks are a bit cack so 2.1 Conti Speed Kings on order - I HATE blaming kit but I think in this case my tyres were causing me trouble - as well as me. Come on coutryside - DRY OUT!
