Myself & Helen are looking to have a little ride around somewhere in Bodmin next Thursday evening.

Meeting at 6.30pm at 'the pub'.

Let me know if you fancy coming.

Yeah of course, im still thinking about it for now as it'll mean i'll be coming straight from work, i'll get back to you should i be good to go work can vary at times.

Helen, there is a train from redruth at 9.14am so with any luck i'll be at tesco's for say 9.30 give/take?
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

  • Can anyone give me some info on how I go about joining the Cornwall mtb club as I have sent them a message and had no reply? don't know if they got my message or not so I thought I would try here as I noticed some people on this forum are in the club.

    Cheers :)

Andy and Gem run the club but neither post on here! i expect andy's out and aobut on his new motorbike at the mo loL!
if you dorp him an email through the club or simply turn up to one of the rides and have a natter! if you like it then you can commit!
always good humoured riding, more a slant on a good fun filled ride than a serious speed fest!
this sundays ride sounds a corker and if its on a route like some of us did with any a while back then it will be a good un!

Like Timmo said, best bet is turn up for one of the rides.

If you want to impress the rest of the gang, fall off your bike before the ride starts.
  • I'll check out the site for details of sun ride,

    Cheers,

I would love to but I have just picked up my van from the garage and have no tax on it till tomorrow so I will be having a local ride, I have always fancied a ride up Bodmin but don't know were to go, i usually go Dunmere woods, that's the only place I have been up that way.

    Thanks mate.

Holiday was excellent. It had both types of riding: up and down. Pics on Facebook. Controversially I didn't fall off much. Can't have been trying hard enough. Don't tell Rich, but there are better places than Bissoe. Scotland is one of those places.

    Hi Kyle,

Just round the corner from me then.

Normally do one evening ride a week if you fancy a ride. This coming week is going to be difficult though. Out Mon, Tues & Wed and on a road ride Thurs.

    Good ride today all?

I fell headfirst off a low (3-4ft) wall in a drunken attempt at a "stunt" and almost severed my ear and slammed my back. Highly amusing at the time but sore now - DOH!!

Kyle - You "Kyle Brown" on Facebook then?

Time for operation "stag do recovery..."
  • nice one matt! osunds like an eventful do!!!
yes was a good ride today! alot of very overgrown tracks leading ot not being able to see where your riding but meant it was good fun! (except the stinging nettles hidden all over the place!!!) little play in bissoe and then back various routes to andy and Gem's for the bar b! was really good!
kyle was a start and helped find my GPS after it had bust its mount and fallen off too!
much cider for repayment required me thinks!!!

Not to mention Gem's help then too and also Running all the way up a silly long hill when my chain got itself wel and truely Wedged between the hub and the sprokets!

    Thanks Kyle....!

BTW - there are well over 500 Kyle Browns on FB - to save trawling, I'm "Matt Sutherland" and have my surf pic as my avatar - might be easier if that's okay!

Feeling rather sore but the cycle was fine just now - ear looks minging though!

I live in Perranporth but work in Plymouth and I'll be coming from Plymouth on Sunday morning, so could stop off and join you all for a ride. Have fun guys and gals,

Helen, Dazza, SA Boy and others - saw you just outside Idless last night (me and wife where in our blue Jimny) - looked very much "the part!"

Going to head that way for the weekend - Bodmin ride a bit far and got friends over again - our house if "Hotel Malpas" for the Summer!

Had a nice walk and going to give those jumps a go near the big drop.
