Nice work Rich, looks absolutely stunning....

Be careful with the RXS pedals, the set on the Dale shattered on a climb with me :o

    :?

Ta for that - I'll keep my wits about me, but Time seem to have updated the design slightly so fingers crossed that's part of the reason.

Be sure to post a final pic with a full spec list. :)

    Spec list as follows:

    Frame: Omega Enigma (56cm)
    Group: Full Chorus (except calipers)
    Calipers: KCNC
    Wheels: Fulcrum Racing 1
    Tyres: Conti GP4000S
    Headset: Record
Forks: Look HSC4 SL (?) full carbon
Stem: USE Race 110mm (with USE Spacers)
Bars: Pro Carbon 44cm (Easton black cork tape to be replaced at a later date)
Seatpost: USE Alien carbon (USE seatclamp en route - currently Campag)
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR Gel Flow (will probably be swapped for a Toupe later)
    Bottle cages: USE carbon

Have probably missed something, but that's the important stuff covered! A definite USE theme, but that's the way I like it!

Planning to hit Richmond Park on it tomorrow evening so will get a decent outdoor pic done then.

Nuggs - whereabouts in West Sussex are you? I've lived in Worthing most of my life and currently head back there from London at weekends.

Thanks for the comments all - so excited about riding it tonight! Took it for a quick blast up and down my street last night and it feels amazing on first impressions! :P

    Haywards Heath.

I can understand why you come back to Worthing at the weekends - the riding's much better down here! :)

Hmm. Been looking at the Xen pedals as a possible replacement for my Miche 302s (really annoying - they aren't that old but I haven't been able to get hold of spare cleats anywhere for a few months now!) - do they use the same cleats as the other Time road pedals? Alternatively, I'd be interested to hear from anyone who either

    a) Knows of a UK source for spare Miche shoeplates

    or

    b) Has a set of old-style Look (PPxxx series, with tension adjuster and pref. in black) clipless pedals in decent nick that are now surplus and for sale S/H. Although they've been supplanted by the Keo range, at least the spare plates are still in plentiful supply.

They certainly use the same cleats as my previous Time RXS

    More here

Had black bar tape on it but I think the silver looks much nicer (and feels like better tape too).

Didn't get on with the Time Xen pedals so they're going in the classifieds - got some Crank Bros SLs half price so we'll see how the bearings hold out on them! Should be better for me knees anyway.

Rides pretty sweet too! Done 130 miles on it this weekend - it's an absolute dream! It's been faultless, which is brilliant considering I built it meself!!

Here's my newly built up Pedalforce RS2. The only change from the photo is that it now has Michelin PR3s on (red) and a Deda Zero stem. Not ridden it too much, due to the weather, but it feels real nice for the little I've done on it.

Here's the Prince in current format - 'fraid the only pic I have is an in motion one as the bike is all bagged up for the Etape. Oh and I make no apologies for the hairy legs I just cannot justify waxing them!

Rich how are the KCNC brakes? How much do you weigh and how do they compare to stock calipers?

Ooh nice spot, cheers. Clearly a man of taste :D
Yep it's an Omega, a Seamaster Planet Ocean Chrono to be precise; beautiful watch.
Worn on the "wrong" wrist though I'm afraid!
I really shouldn't wear it on the bike though, forgot to take it off. It'd be painful enough to damage the bike; trashing the watch as well would make for a really bad day

    Simply put: They're awesome 8)

I only have experience of a) 105 calipers on my previous road bike, or b) hydraulic disc brakes on my MTB, and I have to say the stopping power (even on the hoods) seems far better than I remember the 105s ever being! I was doing some fairly rapid stopping from some good speeds yesterday and they were faultless.

I weigh about 14st too so brakes need to be good to stop my bulk!

Well worth the money IMO, and they just happen to look the nuts! 8)

I am impressed by your colour coordination Jashburnham. Even Ms Campagsarge does not go to such lengths on a frock and accessories. You have my full respect! Nice bike BTW.

He knows the colours that go... And not much goes with Zeroes so nice work!

I confess I'm also a member of the hairy leg brigade... Although shaved looks better, life is just too short. It's a waste of valuable riding time.

PS There's some mud on the downtube just near the cable guide that needs cleaning.

Cleaned, lubed and polished on Sunday. Bring on the Etape!

Excellent. Don't forget about cleaning the bike too.

You shouldn't break a sweat on Sunday - only a couple of hills in the Etape this year.
