Wow! Have you tried a bigger frame size?

I guess your talking about the height of the seatpost. I fall directly between 58cm and 60cm frame size. The 58cm was more comfortable for my riding style and I have been riding that size for a few years.

    Hi there.

I've no objection to the amount of seat-post showing - that's to be expected if you're going to get into a racing position on a frame with a sloping top tube.

It's just when combined with the long, riser stem and a stack of spacers underneath it, it just looks to me as if the bike is one size too small...

But hey, if you're happy then there's no problem!

    Cheers, Andy

Here is mine - my first road bike.
Found it on Ebay but it didn't sell so the owner got in touch afterwards and we did a deal. Probably not the best way to buy a bike but we spoke a number of times and he sent loads of photos and arranged a courier. It was better than I had hoped when I got it. After I recieved it I took it to the LBS to get it set up for me and fortunately it only needed minor tweeking.

Having trouble finding the time to get many miles on it at the mo as I have got several other things on the go (too many hobbies!) but hopefully that will sort itself out later in the year. So at the moment I am doing a few trips to work and back and the occasional weekend ride.

Same bike as mine ... I changed the saddle to a Toupel Gel 143 and have changed to a compact.

    Really happy with it ...

Good to see someone else with one! I suspect they're about to get rare. Paid a shade under £1300 as it is last years. Very happy. Appears to be, using some rudimentary scale standing, around 1.75 pounds lighter than my Alu Focus was.

Mine's a triple which I had no choice about. Happy enough with that, even coming off a compact.

How close to a Madone is the design do you reckon?

It's not exactly a new bike, but I've made a good few changes, narrower bars, new white arione saddle (doesn't look like it's going to stop white long though  ), longer stem.

Loking sweet Reddragon - the white bits look good while they're nice and clean! i particularly like the name and wlesh flag and lack of frame manufacturer decals - makes it look like a pukka pro training machine in an odd way.

it's a long story, my first bike had v. wide bars, my second bike had narrow bars, but while on the second bike I had a flare up of a rugby injury (I thought it was the narrow bars), so I stuck with wide bars then. Then I started building this fixie and bought the cheapest drops I could (wiggle £7ish, but they only had 42cm), then I started getting annoyed with the shape of the drops on the good bike, so I thought why not try the new drops on the good bike - and I experienced no problems over a long ride.
