New dry weather commuter. Might be a while before I get to use it for an extended period. Will have to stick with the trusty Rockhopper for now;

Not much original apart from bars, fork, frame and cranks/pedals.
Mudguards since added for winter.

haha, they don't annoy me too much. I only fitted the guards a couple of days ago, didn't want to cut the stays until I was happy I wouldn't need to adjust the guards. I'll probably cut them off this week.0 -
Proof (for colleagues who won't believe me next week otherwise) that I have managed to make it to work from home on my new Specialized Tricross Sport...it's a 100m climb (pretty tough when I'm dragging my 15.5st lard arse up it hehe) but it felt so damn good! Been bitten by the cycling bug I think!

With my mountain bike seemingly do nothing but the work run I thought I would get a commuter. I ended up with this Van Nicholas Yukon for £700.
Yet to really ride her though with the snow etc..0 -
My 170 mile a week commuter, going to add panniers and try and cycle it to Rome in the summer0 -

cjcp wrote:@Mugs - what brakes and tyres are you using?
The tyres and brakes are the stock items - Continental Speedking 35c's and Kore Kross (I think) brakes. I've since swapped the tyres for some Schwalbe Winter Marathons but haven't had a chance to get out on them yet. I wouldn't recommend the contis - they puncture pretty easily, don't have enough grip on mud to justify the drag on asphalt and are really noisy, draggy as all hell on grass too. As soon as the weather turns I'll be going to slicks.0
