I'm not sure if it is wise to point out that on the C+ forum there were quite a few of the MTB 'persuasion' (and a few 'crossdressers' too) and I don't recall any fighting (not over that anyway) .

Onwards and Upwards (err, Do I avter?).

I thought wearing lycra was cross-dressing? haha

I dare not ask what you googled to find that picture.

Still, if it appeals to our road riding friends... ;)

I think forum navigation is still a bit unwieldy. I might have missed something stunningly obvious (and if so I would be pleased to have it spelt out, in short words please!) but my current experience is that having visited a section located near the bottom of the index page there is no easy way to visit the one "next door". I end up back at the top of the main index page and have to scroll down, and if I use the forum jump function - Bless Me! I have to scroll down that as well! Its a bit tedious if your main interests are in road cycling.
Would it be possible to insert the section name, eg Road, in the navigation tree (I'm sure Ive seen it called that somewhere) so that you can jump back to the preferred section of the index?
If thats too tricky, how about rearranging the items in the forum jump list in reverse order?
Not the best solution, but it would at least share the pain!

It's of no interest unless it is in current team colours and is very expensive.

Come on devs... You know it makes sense to merge the MBUK sandbox, WMB Arms and the roadies soapbox (not so many forum subsections and it'll be more lively). You also need to make just ONE office too (mbuk and wmb merged)

It'll be better in the long run, you know I'm right ;)

edit* What about a misc sales section (all things not bike related), maybe?

On the old cycling plus site there was a Beginners Section where people who were new to cycling could ask advice about bike purchases or anything else. Would it be possible to have a section for this please.

Don't know, I've had a look around but not come across it yet. There is a section on CC (where a lot of C+ posters hang out) here:-

If I find anything here I'll post here.

The forums look good in my opinion. But the new posts show up arange - all very well and good, but sometimes the orange disappears even when I have not read a certain post. Then it gets hard to find the new posts I have not read yet. Which is annoying.

Having commented on the length of the index page a couple of times I felt it incumbent on me to inform you that the new arrangement (I've been away for a couple of weeks!) meets with my approval - Convenience is seen to have been served, Ta :)

Is there a chance you'll be fixing the following (it's only an example, but you get the drift):

BikeRader Forum Index > Off Topic

    Hello,

Is there any chnce you can look at including a screening fuction that means we can select which forums we want to have new post alerts for and those we don't?

Under the box where you type a reply to a post there are 4 boxes:

    Disable BBCode in this post
    Disable Smilies in this post
Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile)
Notify me when a reply is posted

When you reply to a thread and you don't care about the replies... take the tick out of the box.

Or am I missing your point?

Yep, we've asked the dev team for that.

Slightly, on another forum I use (goneboarding.co.uk) it is possible to tick boxes for types of post eg MTB> Rides so that I get notified of new posts for this topic.

Boxes left un ticked mean that the topic or forum does not get high;ighted as having new posts.

    Sorry if that is confusing.
