essex roads have been surprisingly good actually. although there will be a few backwater lanes with a covering of stone/gravel/muck no doubt. as long as you wash your bike after every ride it will stay crystal!

I'm more worried about the swollen glands below my jaw line right now if I'm honest.

Been dying to get out on a ride. One's organised and I pick up a bug. Just had a night nurse and now I'm wide awake. No justice after enduring work all day like a bear with a sore head

There's no point denying it, I'm not going to be able to make to the inaugural Leyton ride out.

I thought I was getting over this lurgy, but as I'm going to have to through another day at work with the help of Lemsip Max, it is highly unlikely I'll be able to get 45 miles in the saddle.

I hope I'm not letting anyone down and will be up for the next ride out that's agreed.

Please write back how it went if any of you met up... I feel like such an idiot

Have you any plans for a wee jaunt this weekend? If so, I might be able to join, I'm in South Tottenham (Seven Sisters). I've not been on a proper ride for a while, so I might be eating dust but I'll catch up at the cake stop! - there'd better be a cake stop, even if I have to bring my own and share it.

feeling better now and if you're worried about getting burnt, don't. I've not done any further than commute to the west end since late september.

So still to do the first.

hi, I've been out with the Whitewebbs guys twice now and will again on Sunday. i've found them to be very friendly and welcoming - and they don't expect me to lead if I'm not upto it! [:D]

alot depends on what kind of ride/speed you are after - they don;t leave anyone behind but I found the pace a nice challenge which is what I'm after - they split on the hills but wait at the top and all that.

9am start from Brookman's park (i might ride there from the Abbey this week to really get the miles in).

last week we only rode for 2 1/2 hours - did around 40 miles

Hi Mate,

I am doing a race (running not cycling) this Sunday in Wimbledon so that is out. The following Sunday I will probably be going out with LVCC, but you would be more than welcome to tag along if you turn up, leaving 9am sharp from outside Walthamstow Town Hall.
I think I am off on holiday the weekend after that [:)] Sorry, told you I had a lot on a the moment!
Once things quieten down a bit though we will definately sort something out.
