What new bike will you be getting, will it be the same as the last?

Wessex 100 sounds interesting is that miles or kilometer's?

If your interested, I understand there is a weekly Sunday ride that starts from Walthamstow town hall 9am. Apparently its run by Leavalley CC. I waqs chatting to another cyclist in High Beech who regularly rides with them, and quoted av speeds of 15 - 17mph. He said their a nice group. Sorry, cant remember weather I told you about this earlier.

    Hello Jonathan, Stuart,

I didn't see your earlier post (about the Essex ride) either. Hope your back in working order. How did it go with the legal stuff? And did you get a new bike, or could the old one be salvaged?

I've been going out on Saturday mornings, since I'm usually busy on Sundays nowadays. If you fancy taking an easy ride one Saturday morning Stuart, we can do the 30 mile route and use it to build your strength up again, let me know.

Hope you recovered from the other week Jonathan, I burnt my arms and head - should have re-applied the suncream. If I get a Sunday free I'll be out to join you.

Also, I don't know if you guys are going down to the Rapha nocturne thing next Saturday, it looks like it's going to be entertaining, I'll be going down with my wife and maybe a few other friends. If you fancy it let me know.

    Where's me jumper?

I'm gutted. The rapha event happens when I away on hols - admittedly I'm in Almeria in Spain and shouldn't moan, but I saw the advert the other week and thought, great, what a way to spend my friday night, clocked the date and thought no I'm not.

I'll take you up on that easy Saturday ride offer soon - but it'll be July now that I think about it. Tomorrow is too soon, next week I'm away and the week after I've got my folks down... so is Saturday 7 July good for an easy one.

More importantly, how did your exams go? You feel ok about it all?

    Best

    Stuart

    Thanks

That's miles - so not expecting record times, just completing ahead of the broom wagon

Will check out the Walthamstow run out, not heard of them

On the bike front, Not sure I'll get anywhere as the insurers are denying liability as they say the driver was stationery when we collided so how could it be his fault - not sure how many roundabouts you've parked on, but I tend to go them and leave by the appropriate exit asap. delaying tactics

Separate to the insurance though I've ordered a Langster from my cycle to work scheme - 33% off is a fair discount. Not sure I'll go down the fixed route just yet. Be strange enough with a single speed!

    Best and trust you're well

    Stuart

On holiday in Urracal - in Almanzora Valley - north of Almeria in Spain

No cars, mountain roads - perfect cycling territory

    Shame mine is in Leyton

    Thanks

Sounds nice, post some pics when you get back.

Your Langester, Am I right in thinking thats a fixed. If so, what made decide to go down that road.
