Donald Trump

Consumed by negativity.

If you dislike negativity, I know a politician you would really take exception to.

I am honestly trying to find a positive - could you give me a couple of examples?

Coming out as an atheist would finish him and probably filming himself using the stars and stripes to wipe his arse but other than that it doesn't seem like much would turn his core voters off.
Edit - or footage of him engaging in gay sex, they really wouldn't like that.

He's (currently) friends with Musk. That makes him beyond reproach.

I'm reminded of the oft quoted "he's a self made man who worships his creator"

Perhaps we can praise Trump for his choice of music that he swayed along to gently for 38 minutes instead of answering questions or letting nurse take him to bed. Yes, 38 minutes. Some highlights... (I know you'll be disappointed I've not found the full-length version)

That’ll be another bunch of artists threatening law suits then.

An impressive collection so far….
“Wainwright joins the growing list of musicians who have asked Trump not to use their music, including Celine Dion, Jack White, ABBA, Foo Fighters, the Village People, the Rolling Stones, Rihanna and the estate of Sinead O'Connor.
Earlier in the year, Beyonce issued a cease-and-desist letter after the Trump campaign used her song “Freedom” in an online video. The song would go on to become a centrepiece of the Harris's campaign.”

It would be quite cool trolling for the Harris campaign to put together a playlist of all the tunes that have been the subject of C&D letters to Trump and get permission to use them for their campaign.

I’m intrigued by them being able to stop him using their music. I would have thought that as long as he is paying any royalties due there’s not much they can do.

Eddie Grant successfully sued the Trump campaign for using Electric Avenue in a video.
But Trump is in the seek forgiveness (not), not permission camp. In other words he doesn’t care.

In the UK we have something called moral rights which belong to the creator of a copyright work. Don't know about the US but I'd imagine it is the same. Includes rights to enforce copyright against acts that could damage the creators reputation.

This looks like a reasonable summary. (tl;dr - organisations can obtain blanket licences, but artists covered by those licences can ask to be removed from those licences given to specific organisations).

Trump now favourite on Betfair 1.7 vs 2.4.

Depressing, though the record early turnout in Georgia suggests that a lot of voters know what's at stake. (Early voters strongly tend to be Democrats 2:1ish, I think)

Reading between the lines, I don't think that Mr Snoop Dogg is a Trump fan (NSFW!)

Snoop Dogg has sparked fierce debate on social media after saying in a new interview that he has "nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump."
As Republican Trump prepares for an expected election showdown with President Joe Biden this year, Snoop Dogg has revealed a complete change in his stance on the former commander-in-chief.
In an interview with The Sunday Times published over the weekend, the rapper said that Trump "ain't done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris. So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump."
Harris, who co-founded the Death Row record label to which Snoop Dogg was first signed, had been imprisoned on drug offenses.
When was that X from Brian?

Ha, well spotted. The Tweet was recent, but replaying comments from 2017. How he has indeed changed his tune. Quite a change of heart, it seems.

Ah, so basically the X fit your negative search agenda so you posted the dated clip up.

On the BBC…
“The Trump campaign says it's filed a complaint to the Federal Election Commission against the Harris-Walz campaign, as well Keir Starmer's Labour Party in the UK, for what it calls "illegal foreign campaign contributions and interference in our elections".”
Really? A bit rich. I heard Farage has piped up as well. 🙄

It’s not a good idea to take sides in an election in a country that is supposedly one of your big allies. That said it seems to have rattled Trump who seems to prefer more hidden election interference from less friendly nations for his own campaigns.
0 -
It hasn't rattled anyone. It is just deflection in case he loses and needs to organise a coup.

It's pretty standard for both Labour and Tory staffers to go and volunteer for Dems and Republicans on their free time, it has been going on for years. Trump and his campaign are just trying to hype it into a thing as a distraction.

I think Farage was far bigger an issue. A serving MP going to lend support to a candidate in another country. That is far closer to interference IMO.
