Volta Ciclista a Catalunya *spoilers*

I was gutted for TV yesterday, I'd much rather see a solo rider win than have a bunch sprint most days.
More godawful camerawork yesterday, the second to last finish line camera looked like it was in the crowd rather than on a boom as there was an umbrella in the way and the finish line cam was only slightly better than the one the day before where the line was completely obscured, no time gaps etc blah blah blah.0 -
^ Still better organised than Tour of Britain ... Which is not a compliment to Catalunya ...0

It's live and the weather is nice and bright. Reza, Bobridge and a few others out front. Peloton ticking away nicely.Contador is the Greatest0
-
Reza can't ride no hands... poor guy struggled to put on his cape, and still can't zip it. Incidentally, those must be the skinniest legs I have ever seen on a pro rider**************************************************

That's good to hear. Guys like Martin were being very down about the conditions today

Watching @beargrylls for some last minute survival tips ahead of todays stage. Unfortunately he's stranded on a desert island #badluck
Dan Martin @DanMartin86 4h
Lets just start and hope for the best. Inevitably we'll have to halt the stage when guys get hypothermia but may as well try #procycling
I guess it being cold and it being sunny aren't mutually exclusive though0 -

I think it may be because it was very windy up there.Contador is the Greatest0 -
So how much should we read into today's stage in terms of Froome vs Contador?0
-
It will be a big deal for whoever wins, 'on schedule' for anyone who loses time ...0
-
Catching up now.
Compared to the Dwars, this is like watching grass grow.
Way, way behind scheduled, which all means an extra long torture
session at the hands (and vocal chords) of Clown Kirby.
The weather forecast for tomorrow is for clear skies.
No snow in the forecast. Just bitterly cold."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

"Oh HELLO"
Grrrrrrrrr0 -
It just goes to show doesn't it, you can have the best stage racers of their generation present, but if they aren't interested in racing it's dull beyond belief.0
-
But were there any Astana romper suits in Belgium?0
-
Now we just need headwind on the climb and this stage will come down as worse than dreadful.0
-
Why don't you guys go an watch a replay of the warm up race in Belgium?
What do you expect someone to do? Attack on the last climb then ride 50km in windy and freezing conditions on flat, straight, open roads before doing the final climb? Wise-up.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Haha, I knew FF would bite.0
-
Go Reza.Contador is the Greatest0
-
Movistar copying SKY, just like the DS said they needed to ...0
-
Pretty flat profile for this climb.Contador is the Greatest0
-
and ... Here we go!
edit: maybe not ...0 -
Hope Uran and Alaphilppe are able to hang on. Would be nice if Barguil was in the mix too along with little Elissonde.Contador is the Greatest0
-
Atapuma getting dropped - not a good sign when there are 50 riders still in this with 2km to go. Very light climb.Contador is the Greatest0
-
2km to go and some more pretend action ... Fuglsang off the front, no-one else giving a s***!0
-
They will go for bonus seconds then duke it out tomorrow. Not a climb for climbers this one.Contador is the Greatest0
-
Birdsong caught ... Moreno pulling with 1km to go ...0
-
Froome, J-Rod, AC and a few others give it a go ...0
-
Purito does his usual, AC following with a gap back to Froome ...
In the end Quintana 3rd0 -
Purito takes it surprise surprise. Contador 2nd at 4 secs. Quintana at 9 secs. Froome at 11 secs. 5 others at 15secs.Contador is the Greatest0

Risky though, given the chance of tomorrow's stage being affected by the weather0 -
Hmmm...GC showing no bonus seconds. And it was TJ at 11 secs and Froome at 13 secs. Pozzo there as was Bardet.Contador is the Greatest0
-
No bonus secs as MTF according to CK & MB ...0
