Might be a good one for Dan Martin today if he's rounding into form. Not many climby sprinters here; maybe Leigh Howard, Nizzolo, Vigano?

Time splits and distance to go wouldn't go amiss on the TV coverage.

and right on cue, Txurruka is off

    CALLING PAUL 8V!!!

The preceding 130km before he heads off in a stage, must be sheer torture for him

I THINK Txurruka is 30 secs behind the two who've been upfront all day, and around the same distance to the bunch

    but who knows?

    37km to go
  • above_the_cowsabove_the_cows Posts: 10,941
    OK so 37km to go.

    EDIT - SNAP

    I shall make myself a high-faluting coffee.

Txurruka not making much inroad into bridging to the other two

    28s down

    30km to go

    EDIT
    He's reached them now

Now I just have to find out the gap to the bunch

Breakway with 50s on the bunch, and are on the final climb (Cat 3)

Apparently there's a problem with the transponders.

22km to go, gap now down to 16s

    EDIT
    about to be swept up
  • above_the_cowsabove_the_cows Posts: 10,941
Are anyone else's pictures really dark?

I can barely pick out the colours of kit.

Kelderman (Belkin), Hardy (Cofidis) and Cherel (AG2R) with a small gap on the descent
  • Richmond RacerRichmond Racer Posts: 8,561
    19s gap, 11km to go

    Whoopsie daisy.

Hardy tries to take the wrong exit from the roundabout.

Most of Sky out the back by some distance. Bet it's Froome and Porte.

It would be nice if the camera shot actually included the finish line.

I must say I have very much enjoyed watching the roof tops of some small Catalan coastal town.

Tomorrow I may just watch google maps.

EDIT - Mezgec takes it from Leigh Howard.

    Absolute shambles.
Mezgec wins, Porte was the major loser.
    Other than that, who knows?

All riders look the same when the picture's that dark and the cameraman's a schoolkid on a week's work experience

The jersey zipping up appears to be taxing the organisers as much as the camera angles...
