Its harsh. Its a terrible senario. But these scenarios are definitely weighted in the press. My view is that they were foolish. Not deserved, but they were bloody stupid and are now feeling the pain. We all make mistkes, but to me this was more than a mistake and I feel that the law should take its course and penalise them. The search should go on: they deserve that, but they also should admit they made a huge error.

I think that comment is cruel and harsh, after all the debates on whether the parents were right or wrong a child is still missing, either has or is still going through more pain and suffering than you would wish on your worst enemy, i just don't think thats a nice comment to make.

Sonic, I agree with you, they were stupid and are paying the price, I feel sorry for the person/persons that have to make the decision as to whether they have broken a law as they will be wrong what ever they decide.

I don't see that much coverage anymore as I am at work all day so only catch the small updates that the news provides at night, however, I still believe that they are being advised to go on these walkabouts etc by other people, and I know that if my child was missing and I was told that doing ANYTHING you can to keep this in the public eye then I would do it.

You know, if people are fed up of hearing about it then just switch off and don't read or watch the stories. I'm not following the story, if its on the news i'll watch it and of course I would love for her to be found, but there is no need to be cruel, how would they feel if it was their child.

I don't think it is,like I say i'm at work all day and only catch what ever is on the news at night. Maybe I just don't find it a bother, if its on the news and i'm watching it then it's on anyway.

But thats not being rammed down my throat, it'll be on the news that i'm watching anyway so it makes no difference, I don't feel offended by that fact that they are doing as advised to keep it all in the media, but I do feel its a waste of time, she's long gone, but as a parent myself I to would do all I could.

So they've gone to see if the Pope can help... good move.

What I want to know is did Pope Ratzinger tell them where the guy who snatched Maddie is? I mean he may well have been another priest they've moved to a different parish. It wouldn't surprise me if he knew but wouldn't tell due to the old 'pontifical secret'.

Yes and some people are able to keep their opinions to themselves.

Again, my heart goes out for the parents. I can't imagine what they are still going thru, and I for one do not feel to be in a position to judge them.

I'm allowed to air an opinion, the same as any one else is. I have no sympathy for the parents, my heart goes out to the little girl and i really do hope she is alive and well and found......

I think most people are united on that front but then you get heckled for saying your a perfect parent. I do not feel that way about myself, but I also can't imagine being that careless.

Frankie, they deliberatly left 3 kids sleeping in an unlocked apartment, the kids were not in earshot or in sight, that seems pretty careless to me.
