I've created a non-spoiler thread just in case it is wanted.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    Yeah. I do seem grumpy.

Glasgow looks a lot cleaner than it did in the 80s. See wot low emissions do for ya?

The Irish girl is racing like I always did. Sitting on the back and then having to fight back on after every hill or corner.

Tight circuit, is this the same as the elite men are using? It will be challenging at their speeds especially if it gets wet.

She's throwing shapes there trying to hang on

And yeah, the circuit is the same for all, I think.

Peloton is about 15 riders and the French girl has now gone solo looking good but over 20km left

    Glasgow looks censored

The steep climb isn’t very scenic that’s for sure. Georgian bits look OK though.

Everyone leaving the Brits to chase as they apparently have the favourite. I’m completely out of touch with UK racing these days and don’t recognise any names.

Why is Pidcock not riding tomorrow?

Chasing group is down to 14 riders, and none of them are Dutch.
    Mind blown.

Not a clue, probably wants to mess around getting muddy as a priority. It would be a good course for him, looks very suited to multiple short, sharp efforts that CX riders tend to be good at.

French girl looks like she’s cracking. Brits need to get on the front in numbers to stop the French disrupting the chase.

French kit looks sort of Canadian

  • If the French girl holds on it will be Winnebago. :p

    Nice and wet streets now...

Chucking it down. The British girl seems pretty clueless on race tactics considering she’s apparently the favourite
  • Marvellous poohousery from the French rider constantly sitting second wheel here

Sitting on the front waving your hand and shouting ‘come on’ to the team mate of the girl who is up the road is just stupid. Drop back then go hard to try to jump across. Don’t British Cycling do any coaching these days?

There were 4 Brits in the group at one point, I can’t understand why they didn’t just bully her out of position. I think they’ve watched a video of the 2012 Olympic men’s road race for inspiration.
  • I am also not impressed by the British girls lack of basic race craft.
The French continue to boss this race.

One of the Brits needed to go hard to bridge them sit of the French girls wheel even if it took another French rider with her. Either that or just commit to pulling on the front and accept no-one is going to help until the gap is closed. The wet corners have eliminated most of the benefit of the group anyway.

    French girl could have this.
    Fair play.

They are self destructing in a desperate attempt to get on a lower rung of the podium.

    Fair play.

Should have been caught 10km ago to be fair. Lead was down to 9” at one point.

The Belgian now showing what the Brits should have done but has left it too late.

Should be used as a training video on how not to ride when you have the favourite and the numbers. Ferguson manages to salvage silver.
