After a little help here. I find ketchup too sweet and brown sause too sour and then one day I stumbled across Lea and Perrins tomato and worcester sauce and my life was complete. They stopped producing it several years ago and I can no longer find hidden supplies.

So my question is does anybody have an in-between sauce they can recommend?

Just try mixing ketchup and brown.

    Flame suit on...

Interesting as it may be, how does this help SC with his ketchup/brown sauce conundrum?

Welcome to the dull thread BTW :)

The missus likes it, I think she has it on her chips but I really don’t take much notice.

Another one who has it in the house but doesn't touch it. There's surprisingly little difference in the ingredients. Mustard in salad cream; cream in mayonnaise. That's about it.

OK, but would not want it to dominate all other flavours. What were you thinking?

Used to like salad cream when I was young, we never had mayonnaise in our house, I was probably an adult before I knew what it was.

Was mayonnaise not readily available in the 1970s - only I bought a bottle of salad cream this year just to indulge nostalgic curiosity and it's really not very nice - ended up chucking most of it.

Cheers, I will give that a try. My current best option is Jack Daniels BBQ sauce

Never had a prawn cocktail - too posh for us - in our house one of those vesta Chow Mein meals with those little hard strips that puffed up in the frying pan was a sophisticated as it got. Sunday lunch was mince and tatties often with neeps (yes my mum is Scottish) or a stew - the only time we had any kind of roast was the turkey at Xmas.

Anyone have some suggestions for removing the brown stains from my white boxers due to some recent "over-farting".
I've tried everything so far.. my DD, DS and DS or FWIANR as I like to call her says my kecks are gross.
Please help me fellow Mumsnet folk, at at the end of my tether.

    :D

Suppose you could try brown spray paint so the skid marks aren’t so obvious, then mask the smell with a liberal dose of some suitable aftershave like Hai Karate or Brut 33.

I know you like a censored graph but how does that help me identify a substitute for Lea and Perrins tomato and worcester sauce?
    Graph is on topic.

And if you can't work out how to make a ketchup and worcester sauce yourself, then you are beyond help.
