Sometimes the answer, SC, is so obvious, you need to take a good hard look in the mirror.

I know you like a censored graph but how does that help me identify a substitute for Lea and Perrins tomato and worcester sauce?
    Graph is on topic.

And if you can't work out how to make a ketchup and worcester sauce yourself, then you are beyond help.
but what has the graph got to do with me? I have expressed no opinion about car ownership
    It isn’t
do its a graph relating to?

I think i got my last bottle from Hammonds Butcher.

Anyone have some suggestions for removing the brown stains from my white boxers due to some recent "over-farting".
I've tried everything so far.. my DD, DS and DS or FWIANR as I like to call her says my kecks are gross.
Please help me fellow Mumsnet folk, at at the end of my tether.

After a little help here. I find ketchup too sweet and brown sause too sour and then one day I stumbled across Lea and Perrins tomato and worcester sauce and my life was complete. They stopped producing it several years ago and I can no longer find hidden supplies.

So my question is does anybody have an in-between sauce they can recommend?

What is your appetite for spice?
OK, but would not want it to dominate all other flavours. What were you thinking?
    that looks interesting

I don't mind SPAM... it's got 8 ingredients, which compares well with things like packaged sandwiches (about 50 ingredients). Only downside is that like all preserved meat, it contains nitrites, which are well known class 1 carcinogenic, so best to consume in moderation

Fritters seems to be the least worst option.

Last tried it in 2017, at the home of spam in Minnesota. They are quite proud of it there.

Yes but... Simmenthal or Manzotin? Coppi or Bartali? Moser or Saronni?

What is the process of corning? Does it involve corn?
  • webboo

It comes from it rock salt being used in the processing. The large grains of salt being called corns.
It should consumed with lots of English mustard enough to make your nose stream.

webboo is correct. The only condiment for corned beef is english mustard made up fresh from the powder with a bit of water - it knocks the ready made stuff into a cocked hat.
  • speaking of mustard... any idea why supermarkets no longer stock French mustard? I can find Dijon and English, but not the brown French one... it's been over a year now... thoughts?

A quick google says it's in stock for 65p a jar in Sainsburys, Tesco and Asda. The same search also says that there's a big shortage in France due to a poor harvest of brown mustard seeds in Canada.

When I was in France over the summer, there were signs up at the tills saying max 1 jar per customer.
According to my French cousin, it was like gold dust over there.
