The Tesla share price went down another 8% yesterday... doesn't look like investors are reassured about Musk's strategy... whatever that might be...

Facebook link I’m afraid but this is Stephen Fry on musks Twitter.
I do find Stephen Fry can be a bit up himself but this is an interesting critique.

How do you skim read a video clip? :)

It is a genuine thought I had years ago.
Why are car parks not covered in solar panels? Multi-benefits.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    https://aptera.us/

The car has to be as aerodynamically efficient as this to make it truly beneficial. Also you'd still require lots of full direct long day sun. Definitely not a winter concept car.
  • I really think this great a design for the right climates.

One other thought regarding this car is, how all the materials would hold up after time, if it's got to be left in direct sunlight to be beneficial?

The car parks at both Valence and Avignon TGV stations are both like that. It's a win-win, as it keeps the cars dry in the winter, and cool in the summer.

    Yeah. I should have said...
Why are more car parks not covered in solar panels?

I think I read somewhere recently, probably LinkedIn, that it is now compulsory on all new car parks in France.

How come the Aptera doesn't get any likes on here? It's pure greatness.

It ticks all the boxes in/for the right climates.

    Because they look sh!t?

Basically same footprint as a car but you can’t put anything in it.

I’d hate to try and parallel park that outside my house.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

    Oh.
  • Sometimes I think the The Cake Stop isn't a very nice place.

    That makes me sad.

You didn't make it did you?
  • Gets "up to 40 miles per day" from solar power.
  • Gets "up to 40 miles per day" from solar power.

Only when it's direct full day sun I bet. Still very good compared to a normal EV decked out with sunny capturing greatness. Very efficient low weight car.
  • It's a brilliant design for the right location.

Brings back memories of the Sinclair C5. That went well.

One of our factories up in the West Midlands has done just that. Not that the cars need to be kept cool as much in the summer.
