The Tesla share price went down another 8% yesterday... doesn't look like investors are reassured about Musk's strategy... whatever that might be...0

Facebook link I’m afraid but this is Stephen Fry on musks Twitter.
I do find Stephen Fry can be a bit up himself but this is an interesting critique."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

It is a genuine thought I had years ago.
Why are car parks not covered in solar panels? Multi-benefits.The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

The car has to be as aerodynamically efficient as this to make it truly beneficial. Also you'd still require lots of full direct long day sun. Definitely not a winter concept car.0 -
I really think this great a design for the right climates.
One other thought regarding this car is, how all the materials would hold up after time, if it's got to be left in direct sunlight to be beneficial?0 -

The car parks at both Valence and Avignon TGV stations are both like that. It's a win-win, as it keeps the cars dry in the winter, and cool in the summer.

Only when it's direct full day sun I bet. Still very good compared to a normal EV decked out with sunny capturing greatness. Very efficient low weight car.kingstongraham said:Gets "up to 40 miles per day" from solar power.

One of our factories up in the West Midlands has done just that. Not that the cars need to be kept cool as much in the summer.briantrumpet said:pblakeney said:It is a genuine thought I had years ago.
