Presumably there will come a point where most cars are electric and therefore petrol stations start to become more scarce and petrol more expensive. On that basis alone, bikes will have to go electric to be practical as transport.
I can see myself getting one as a commuter in the next few years once the big players start getting models out and the price comes down a bit. There was talk of the main manufacturers getting together to agree a battery standard so that batteries could be swapped out rather than recharged (ie drop off your flat battery and pick up a charged one) but not sure haw far they have got with that beyond the press release.ddraver said:I'll be honest, I'm not sure what the point of forcing motorbikes to go electric has come from in this sense. I seriously question if a small petrol-powered bike rated to Euro15 - or whatever it will be by 2035 - is going to be any less ecological than an e-motorbike...

I had a thought last week while watching the F1. Why do people insist on low profile tyres? Obviously not needed if F1 doesn't use them. 🤔The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
I certainly don't get low profile tyres on SUV's.0

I'm not a avid fan of F1, but today should be pretty spectacular.0

Arbitrary Rules rules rules. They have stuck with the "small" wheels for ages, originally to limit the size of the brake discs that could be fitted.pblakeney said:I had a thought last week while watching the F1. Next year F1 goes from 13" to 18" wheels.Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0 -

They will still be using relatively fat tyres though. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

urea? isn't that the bit you wee out of?Wheelspinner said:Has the shortage of AdBlue been raised as an issue in Europe/UK yet?
Beginning to be serious here - China has apparently stopped exporting the primary ingredient (Urea) so there's a chronic problem looming here at least.
EDIT: Oooops. Should have read Pinno's post above. Pissedaway that chance of comedy didn't I?.The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.

Not super spectacular in Abu Dhabi, bad start from Max robbed us of a good race as Lewis has the race pace0

There'll be arguments but Red Bull won the tyre change tactics. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

That bloody mechanical and having a safety car having to come out, I mean just seems such a tangent.0

In what way? It's a total farce. Particularly given the safety car race at Spa.Dorset_Boy said:Wow, not watched a GP for years, but what an ending!

That's why sport it the best entertainment.0

Because it came down to a one lap shoot out, and Red Bull were so much smarter with the safety car pit stops.First.Aspect said:

Whether right or wrong at the end, it was massive drama.0 -

This will be on "Bad Sport" in a few years.0 -
Only 5 lapped cars let through. Unprecedented. Making the rules up as they go along.
Can Michael Masi continue?0
