I love the Ardeche, bit of nostalgia of my first adult free holiday the year I did my GCSEs.

Oh well, it's going to be a Hatch sandwich with Kirby bread.
Once again Eurosport favouring the manic/panic combo finale to anything resembling decent commentary.

Echelons with 150km to go. This could be carnage today

Echelons already. There's going to be some riders hors delai with yesterday in their legs.

A pity about the headwind to come.

Is that Geraint in the rear echelon?

    This could be epic

Not saying Ineos are missing Rowe, but the timings are being taken to Gr. Thomas and Gr. Porte

Sagan's retired from the race with knee pain then.

ITV firmly sticking with their planned review of the Cavendish story...

(nice to see some in-car footage from DKQS tho)

Kwia was still one of those smashing it on the initial crosswind section though but yes, you'd normally expect Geraint up there. From memory echelons gave him his initial lead on Froome back in 2018.

Matthews also in one of the back groups I think and he must have fancied this stage.

Bjerg is behind, not sure he's great at crosswinds but he's got an engine that Pog might miss

Group 2 makes it back, broad front. DQS not chasing, Alaphilippe is in the break. Alaphilippe not working, Cav is in the bunch.

It could get crashy later as that won't have helped any nerves

Hello John go a new motor!

Seems he preferred a top end racing bike after all.
He's carrying a lot of timber these days, even though he was never what one could call slim.
