DQS clearly operating a max 4 in the break rule today. Schelling very unhappy with them.

Surely Bora would be better just pulling the break back than leaving Schelling to keep trying to bridge?

Schelling finally makes it with yet another Direct Energie rider sucking his wheel for some reason.

That looks it for now. Not sure why Direct Energie didn't help Schelling get across rather than just keep following him.

    Was all a bit weird.
There were only 20" or so to bridge though. Perez really didn't want Schelling with him though

Just seen this - Hirschi has wonky levers to try and make life a little more comfortable.

He'll get DQ's for letting his forearm rest on the tops if he's not careful.

Just what a bruised and battered peloton needs: rain.

How can you see past JA for this after yesterday?

I guess positioning going into the Climb is the variable but I tend to agree

    Something is amiss.
    Kirby arrived way too soon.
    ITV 4 to the rescue

That's a trvia question to keep me occupied. Merckx, Hinault, Indurain, Froome, Anquetil, Bobet. Does Armstrong count I wonder? Also the Yellow Jersey didn't exist until 1919

Didn't think I'd missed it but they showed a profile with the arrow further forward than the first climb. Just trying to confuse me obviously.

There's no-one else from the 21st Century. The others are LeMond, Zoetemelk, Knetemann, Darrigade, Wagtmans, Frantz and Bottechia. Also Francois Faber who predates the Jersey itself

So only three who never won the Tour.

Most consecutive yellow jerseys without a win?

Switched to itv4 because I can't stand Kirby, but the adverts!! Peloton covered 3km during the show followed by 3km during the ad break...

I'm not a fan of CK but he's been fairly tolerable in this mid stage slot. Probably preferable to ITV who get all their advert committments in ahead of the action.

De Clerq needs to calm down or they'll have to contend with counter attacks or riders trying to bridge.
