Another good thread on how Musk is acting in bad faith.

Whodathunk. Musk is a self-entitled tw@t. Surprised?0

Twitter was always a god complex move.
His skill is in marketing and making things. He has grand ideas and the balls to pursue them regardless of opposition/current thinking.
With Twitter, he’s made lofty statements about free speech that can’t be reconciled with reality. He’s believed his own hype.0 -

Can you explain why you think his concerns about bots are a valid reason to delay, when only last month they were one of his motivations for buying Twitter?- Genesis Croix de Fer

I believe the percentages which were stated are what's at issue. Were they truthful and accurate?pangolin said:

Kind of akin to Ukraine asking Musk for Star Link receivers and them actually being sent, rather than him making some excuse up that he couldn't provide them.0 -
Lol ok believe that if you want. He can defeat bots, but only a fewfocuszing723 said:

He needs to prove that the spam bots have a material adverse effect on Twitter's value and this was unknown when he agreed the price. Lawyers love an MAE argument, so he could drag it out, but I suspect he will lose the argument.focuszing723 said:

He posted *on twitter* that he was buying it because he didn’t believe the estimates and he had a better way of solving the bot problem.TheBigBean said:

Elon Musk wants a 25% discount on his Twitter bid if 25% of Twitter's users are spam bots.https://news.sky.com/story/elon-musk-wants-a-25-discount-on-his-twitter-bid-if-25-of-twitters-users-are-spam-bots-are-they-12619502
I guess there should be some kind of reduction in cost if there are more fake users than quoted.0 -

That's what building reusable rockets will be a step towards. At some point there will be these autonomous space travelling drones which can mine planets to create clones and spread throughout the universe in exploration.0 -
Elon has been a naughty boy though. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Yup, said "I'm making a cast iron commitment to buying it at this price, no need for due diligence, and I'll sort out the terrible problem that they have with fake users" then once the shares have gone down, "I have done the due diligence, and see that they have a terrible problem with fake users, so I don't want to pay the agreed price".TheBigBean said:

That's aside from the other little issue where he allegedly offered to buy someone a horse.0 -
Didn't the big wigs at Twitter claim 5% of their users were fake? This needs clarification as it's directly connected to revenue via advertising (misrepresentation).TheBigBean said:

A discount seems fair if this is the case.
