Bernal trying to take time from everyone. Only Vlasov left and he attacks him over the top of the climb.

Bernal in a class of one.

Pull him from the giro and send him to the tour to beat the Slovenians

You would want to lead this sprint out for the win wouldn't you?

Mauro Schmidt of Quebeka takes the stage in a very good finish. Have to feel a bit sorry for stage winners on a day like this though as they barely get noticed.

Just over 2 minutes to Remco is not too bad all things considered.

Immense by Bernal. His team set him up perfectly but he still showed he is the man to beat. Put 2 minutes into Nibali from the final climb. I just hope he isn't making the same mistake as Yates did a few years ago and burning too many matches.

Anyway, as I was telling anyone who'd listen earlier today, stages like this always over-promise and under-deliver so don't get your hopes up.

Decent day for Carthy on a stage I thought he would struggle with.

Maybe, but I don't think there's anyone of the stature of Froome or the consistency of Dumoulin in the field behind him. It's Bernal v Bernal's back at the moment.

Well, as predicted, behind Bernal, today's stage turned the GC on it's head.

Also I can imagine not many PTP'd Mauro Schmid for the win. B)

Yeah, a bit of rain and it would have been a fairly watchable stage...
