Has anyone worked out which contenders are missing (if any)? I'm having to drop in and out and struggling to work it out.

Formolo also out of the leaders' group. Sagan now falling back on the climb - FDJ and EF Education setting the pace right now.

Remco leaves huge gaps. Brian Holm reckons people keep coming round him cos they don't want to be behind him

30 seconds for them over the GC group

Don't think you can take much from Yates being at the back - isn't that just his style? Can't work out if Remco's struggling or just being a bit dopey - the last time a gap opened he didn't seem to struggle to close it again.

Remco's gaps can be exploited. If riders keep coming round he's pushed to the back. If you can create a gap further up then he has to chase again. He already had to do that earlier

They're going to put Remco under serious pressure on the final section of gravel I should think.

You can see it hurting. If he doesn't lose minutes it will be a miracle.

This could be Giro over for Remco. He could ship huge time here.
