It’s WRU parochialism. They beat the All Blacks, ‘Pooler had a Max Boyce song.0

The Llanelli situation seems to have triggered some copycats in the Championship. Two out of three of Pontypool’s final home matches were awarded as walkover 20-0 BP wins after the opposition couldn’t field a team. Final home match was last night with a 61-0 win over Beddau and Bargoed losing today means they are finally promoted.
Home record was quite impressive with 13 wins from 13 matches all with a try bonus giving the maximum possible 65 league points. Total points scored was 669 which included 101 tries (they’ve hardly attempted a kick at goal other than conversions all season). I think that is now a run of 7 years without a home defeat.
So far away from home they’ve played 9, won 9 and picked up 8 bonus points (only point dropped away to second place Neath where they ‘only’ scored 3 tries in their win). Four games to play in the next 10 days, 2 BP wins will guarantee the title.0 -
(Not sure it's that much of a shock, dude is 37! but...)

The great Sergio Parisse had his last game last night. 39!0

Also Justin Tipuric retired from international rugby with Josh Navidi forced to retire a few weeks ago due to a neck injury. Really is the changing of the guard.0

Seems really odd timing from AWJ and Tipuric0

Great comeback by La Rochelle to silence the Leinster fans, who inspite of every advantage going, many that aren't available to anyone else, couldn't close out their home final.
Leinster got (get) away with so much at the breakdown, but Peyper didn't bottle the Leinster yellow when La Rochelle scored (though he should have brandished the card earlier) and didn't bottle the red that cost Leinster the game in the end.1 -
Ended a pretty decent season with an 7-83 away win today. 26 wins from 26 games with 25 try bonuses (only scored 3 tries in the other, away to Neath who finished second). Promotion gained at long last plus a win in the cup although the WRU in their infinite wisdom have decided each division has its own cup competition rather than a national competition.
Already talks about the Premiership being rejigged again next season though.0 -
Much as I enjoy the silliness of Barbarians rugby you have to question the wisdom of international players being involved with a World Cup ahead.0

AWJ taking conversions was very silly.
That was a 7s game played by 15s."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
That was my thought too. I watched about 20 minutes and that was enough. From what I caught of the half time discussion they seemed to genuinely think the Islanders might catch out the big teams in the World Cup playing that way. The commentary was even more over the top that the rugby.blazing_saddles said:AWJ taking conversions was very silly.

Despite an extension, London Irish have been served with a winding up petition from HM Customs and Revenue.
Looks almost certain they will be joining Wasps and Worcester on the scrap heap of the Gallagher Premiership.

Given the significant number of football clubs that HMRC have served similar orders on, and yet they've continued to 'trade', I can sadly see the HMRC shutting down Irish.blazing_saddles said:Despite an extension, London Irish have been served with a winding up petition from HM Customs and Revenue.

Problem for Irish is they have always been tenants so have no stadium income. They have a superb academy (though a mahooosive catchment area. They will be a sad loss.0 -
Gotta get a straw in there Emmanual....

Both matches turned out to be games of two halves, as David Coleman would have said.
I was quite impressed by how Wales kept the errors to a minimum after half time. Also the sight of George on the flank!
England's experimental team just didn't gel. If Steve Borthwick really is planning on announcing his WC squad next week, I wouldn't be surprised if a few on the park today, played themselves off the plane.
I expect them to bounce back, next weekend."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
That was one of, if not the worst England performance in the last decade. Utterly clueless and toothless.
Wales unluckly that LRZ slipped in the first half and not awarded the try late on.
Gatland must be delighted with his inexperienced side.
Borthwick must be shitting himself.2 -
Are far more experienced England team are almost as rubbish as the lot that failed to perform last week.
Wales not much better
Dire advert for the game so far.0 -
Has to yellow and penalty try surely. Steward showing he's over rated.0

Fell asleep watching the first half and didn’t bother with the second.0

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Surely has to a red for Farrell.
Has been coming for at least 8 years.
The guy is an idiot1 -
And Bortwick has kept him as captain.
Another error of judgement that has backed him into a corner.0 -
England paying a heavy and well deserved price for ill discipline.
Currently 3 on the bench, and one could have been red.The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Try Wales, but hardly surprising vs 120 -
England's 12 score a try.
England back to 14.
Farrell confirmed as red.
Wales captain binned.
Englad take the lead.
Wow!
England so much better without Farrell.1 -
Just switched on again. How sh!t can Wales be?
To lose when 3 men up is inexcusable. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

England found energy without the liability on the pitch.
England's leaders stepped up.
Still nothing to worry Ireland, France, All Blacks etc0
