3 weeks for Billy Vunipola, or reduced to 2 weeks if he goes to tackle school.

Ridiculous. I'm pretty certain that he knows how to tackle properly already.
Choosing to tackle differently is just how he plays.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Farrell went to tackle school. If it was a proper schol it would be in special measures based on that performance.
  • England clawing their way back into the game.
    Ominous implications for Wales, though...

Fiji so, so much better than England and totally deserved that.
England and Wales to not get out of their groups.

Borthwick and his coaching team are completely out of their depth.

The players don't trust or believe in each other or whatever gameplan it is they are supposed to have.

Are England and Wales in a competition to go into the RWC as worst tier 1 nation?

Eddie Jones must suddenly be looking like a coaching genius. He must be having a chuckle.

Not sure the Aussies are much better either!

Some of England's issues are down to the negative influence of Eddie Jones over the last couple of years.

(I couldn't watch the game...as in couldn't actually see it)

I'm now at the point where I hope this just becomes a total cataclysm because we might get some change that way...

Samoa almost pulled off a South Seas double against Ireland.

It seems strange to televise the dress rehersal for the olympics next year before the opening game of the world cup, especially as it's obviously still unfinished, but...c'est la vie

Well matched. France getting the better of possession and possibly having the edge up front. New Zealand looking a bit better in defence and more dangerous when they do get the ball.

Shot clock for penalties is a great addition and nice to see the ref picking up players for getting in front of the restart which has been a bugbear of mine for years (now just to stop feeding at the scrum!).

    What’s French for deja vu?
  • That try would be disallowed 50% of the time.

First ever pool stage defeat for NZ. France definitely the better side in the end and their discipline was superb. Good fast flowing game and well refereed.

Only 4 penalties conceded by France!
Other than their two tries early in each half, the ABs didn't offer much at all, and France comfortably the better team.
However the ABs still get to the QFs as they won't lose another pool match this year.
