Guess who won Andre Greipel's last pro race, today?

    Mark Cavendish. :D

    Oh, 4FS
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

Decent race, and a good win by Cav.
  • Coppa Bernocchi - very Italian lack of TV coverage in the rain.

6 man breakaway got 5 minutes then Remco does a Remco and attacks solo with 30km to go.

    It's very, very damp.
  • He's going to win by 3 minutes at this rate.

Has Evenepoel ever won a race that wouldn't be covered by this thread?

In cricketing terms he feels like a bit of a flat track bully but considering he's still very young and had that horrendous crash I know that's being harsh. I'm still not convinced he'll live up to the hype though, I've seen so many new boy wonders come and go (usually labelled "the next Merckx" of course) I've become cynical. He's also in an age with Pog, Van Aert and MVDP already proving themselves as superstars (to the extent I didn't even mention Bernal).
  • Anywhere to watch the Tre Valli Varesine?

Pogacar in a break of 7 with 1 minute at about halfway.
  • Yes.
Rai are re-capping the women's race atm.

    On tiz cycling.

75km to go, break had 48 seconds, it's wet, and the coverage seems about as flaky as yesterday.

Edit: that's not fair, they do have some camera bike coverage today.

Looks like UAE making it a hard day, gaps appearing up front and in the peloton.
  • Tre Valli Varesine is good racing.

7 man break now with 40 seconds, but strong. Kron, Parent-Peintre, Oliveira, Formolo, Uran, Rota, De Marchi.

Pog had a puncture and dropped back to what's left of the peloton (only about 20 riders in it), and is just waiting for an attack to follow, so he doesn't drag people up to Formolo. Latour, Vlasov and Nibali have all tried to go on the attack.
  • Just watching Binche Chimay Binche and noticed Bob Jungels is riding. What the hell happened to him?

Now they have all got motorbikes. :(

He got clobbered by an Ambulance in last year's tour - not sure if there were lasting effects.

    Yes, that's not ideal.
  • Got it again on Rai2

That would make sense, as looking at his results they drop off from the Tour onwards

    Yes.
    I just checked.

Ad breaks making Tre Valli almost unwatchable.
Right when things are kicking off in the finale.

Rai never used to be this bad.

It's what PFP had a few years ago. Once it's sorted it doesnt seem to bother people again...

A classic, neither man can sprint, final couple of kms.

De Marchi had a fairly bad crash at Giro... doesn't seem like it was that long ago!
  • Great timing with the TV coverage of Milan torino.

Commentators - "something has just happened"

  • 25 man break in crosswinds with 6(!) Dqs inc alaphillippe, 4 UAE inc pog, valverde, Woods, rog.

This could be gone despite the peloton going all out.
  • Adam Yates looked to have dropped all the big names, right up until, Roglic did a Froome.
    2 chasing 2.
