Pogacar lost quite a bit of ground in the last couple of hundred metres.

Jumbo domestique comes across the line barely breathing ahead of Porte who is full gas...

  • I do seriously question how you can look so calm and collected when everyone else around you is dying a thousand deaths. Incredible poker face on Kuss.

Richie Porte should seriously think about moving to a team where he is a GC contender. :-)

  • Landa moves from 7th to 7th. Got to respect the effort, even if it wasn't there for him in the end.

Porte up to 4th on GC, which is impressive

  • I wonder whether Pogačar regrets that little exertion for KOM points over the first climb now.

No super exciting attacks but fair play, everyone gave it their all on that one. Savage, very un-Tour like climb that. Cruel fluctuations in gradient on the new section giving riders hope of closing gaps. A shame Landa couldn't work off the team effort but if it's not there, it's not there.

Valverde ghosting into the top 10 and Mas continuing to do a Zubeldia.
  • Time cut-off might be a fight for some now.

  • About 37 minutes. Would be staggered if everyone gets home within that.
  • Bennet home with 7 mins to spare. Should have chillaxed.

Bennett is doing pretty well vs the TIme Cut. There's a group behind that should worry tho

Whilst I respect the effort, Bahrain-Merida just cemented the tour for Roglic.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.
