I didn't mean a sprint win is worth less. I meant winning the flatish stages in tours is worth less than battling for a classic on your own against other racers. Sitting in the train for the entire stage and launching for 200 m at the very end is certainly less of an achievement than Kristoff outsprinting Terpstra for the Flanders win even though he only had to beat 1 man at the actual sprint or Ciolek letting an overeager Sagan do all the chasing and nipping him at the line in MSR... But those are Monuments. So, that is obvious. The same should also apply to Kwiatkowski winning San Sebastian in a reduced sprint or MvdP in Amstel Gold etc.
Not to mention the value of the Abu Dhabi tour bunch sprint stages etc.
Outside of that, I really enjoy watching sprints. Especially a pov perspective you get sometimes is sensational and there was one from Marianne Vos a few years back which was really amazing to watch.
I imagine I am in the minority here, but I can't get enough of old vids of mental dope enabled rides.
The speed and the gears, hubba hubba.
I'll admit to having enjoyed them at the time. Pantani in particular. Hindsight tells me that some have access to better "preparation" than others though, and some poor souls were trying to do it clean.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.
Sherer demonstrating he doesn't know the difference between unpopular and heretical.
“Road racing was over and the UCI had banned my riding positions on the track, so it was like ‘Jings, crivvens, help ma Boab, what do I do now? I know, I’ll go away and be depressed for 10 years’.”
I agree (after having to google what that meant ). Think it will probably look even better in person, because it's the borealis gold paint from Pinarello that shifts hues from gold to yellow to greenish at different light angles.
Not sure if this is unpopular maybe more controversial but I wish they’d bring back the rule that you could take your helmet off for MTFs just seems a bit more personable and gave the public a chance to see the riders better

I don't think the sponsors would allow it anymore
"Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago
Moaning about conditions because you crash in a TT when virtually no-one else does is lame and riders need to accept that they need to adjust their riding to the conditions.

Can we 'cancel' Sherer please?

I could've seen that being an issue with him.
