What has bardet ever won?orraloon said:AG2R. Winners of what? Apart from the perennial not quite good enough Romain Bardet, struggling to think of any one else from that team as a winner of anything significant.
He's got his own theme tune on the ITV Tour coverage...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

GvA is in the twilight of his career and took a big paycut to keep CCC going through corona.RichN95. said:I'm surprised at any top rider going to AG2R or Sunweb. At least the former have Citroen money to spend.
I would have thought a Belgian classics star like van Avermaet would be on Ineos's shopping list. They're a big employer in Antwerp where De Ronde starts.
He wants a payday and he gets to ride with his best mate and super regular training partner Naesen. Makes sense to me.
Jungels less so but presumably GvA and Naesen being there plus Stijn Vandenbergh being there softens the blow and he can get paid.0 -

Also Ivan Garcia Cortina from Bahrain to Movistar who are styling themselves as "the blues"...0

Because Bardet has something contractual about brown bibs...

Yup. Another rider who hit her prime when a lot of riders are planning their retirement.RichN95. said:Rumour of van Vleuten to Movistar. I didn't realise she's 37.
Maybe it's something to do with having a surname beginning with "V".
Oh and Rein Taramaae to Circus Wanty Gobert."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

When you read the statement it all makes perfect sense. When Woods was and amateur working in a bank a coach called Paulo Saldanha persuaded him quit his job and try to be a pro. He arranged funding and has been his coach ever since. He's now performance director at ISUN. The funding he arranged came from Sylvan Adams, now owner of ISUN.Twitter: @RichN952 -
Yeah it's actually quite nice really.0
