AG2R. Winners of what? Apart from the perennial not quite good enough Romain Bardet, struggling to think of any one else from that team as a winner of anything significant.

    What has bardet ever won?
    Tough crowd!

He's got his own theme tune on the ITV Tour coverage...

I'm surprised at any top rider going to AG2R or Sunweb. At least the former have Citroen money to spend.

I would have thought a Belgian classics star like van Avermaet would be on Ineos's shopping list. They're a big employer in Antwerp where De Ronde starts.

GvA is in the twilight of his career and took a big paycut to keep CCC going through corona.

He wants a payday and he gets to ride with his best mate and super regular training partner Naesen. Makes sense to me.

Jungels less so but presumably GvA and Naesen being there plus Stijn Vandenbergh being there softens the blow and he can get paid.

Rumour of van Vleuten to Movistar. I didn't realise she's 37.

Yup. Another rider who hit her prime when a lot of riders are planning their retirement.
Maybe it's something to do with having a surname beginning with "V".

Oh and Rein Taramaae to Circus Wanty Gobert.

    They have been busy.

Here's another young rider for the classics team.

Definitely looks to me that Ag2r are shifting focus away from the GTs.

French teams never do that, i don't see why it would happen this time.

Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Oof... have to say, I think that's a mighty shame. Am waiting for Froome to bring along Meintjes next.

When you read the statement it all makes perfect sense. When Woods was and amateur working in a bank a coach called Paulo Saldanha persuaded him quit his job and try to be a pro. He arranged funding and has been his coach ever since. He's now performance director at ISUN. The funding he arranged came from Sylvan Adams, now owner of ISUN.

Mid season transfer for Fausto Masnada from CCC to Quickstep, apparently to fill the gap left by various injuries at Lefevre's team.

The latest being his mate and other half of the Androni double act from the Giro last year.

Won't be too surprised. Was it not Adam they didn't want first time round that cost them both?
