Let's be honest, Roubaix >> Virus in Belgium 😋

So Belgium has lifted the ban on travelling to the North of France but its not advised. We'll see at Paris-Roubaix!

That's as good as saying go, but be discreet.
    Good luck with that!

Wish I could say I'm surprised.
    Who else is underperforming?

Riding where he does at least he won't have infected anybody.

Clever. But he did make his way through the whole peloton yesterday to get to the front at one point.

All the team was tested and he was the only positive. So for now it's all OK, but watch this space I suppose.

While not how we wanted it to happen, we have a very good control group here that will demonstrate the transmission or not of group exercise outside. We'll find out in 7 days

Hopefully competing in the Giro whilst having the virus won't have done any damage by putting his body under undue stress - not ideal but I suppose he's young and extremely fit .

How long does it take from infection to positive test?

3days. Might be a false positive like Prudhomme

I think they said he had mild symptoms. He's a vulnerable person too as a serious asthmatic.

Any racing from here to the planned end of the season is a bonus now.

Ah I see Jose B has reemerged for her self isolation from twitter.
    Alé-Cipollini?
So last year. She means Alé BTC Ljubljana who have pulled out after a positive test.

CCC-Liv didn't start Brabanste Pijl as a precautionary measure after a positive. They are back for Gent- Wevelgem.
I think maybe the women are trying to bubble on the cheap, due to financial limitations, so they are coping a few.

Tiesj Benoot was pulled as a precaution by Sunweb, because he shared a studio with Bakelants. Starting the Ronde though.

So some covid cloud have a little "bonus" silver lining.

How do the positive riders get home?

I am not sure that they do.
Said yesterday that they would remain under the care of the team doctors.
Presumably they then can't return home until they are given the all clear.
Bling is bound to placed in quarantine upon his return.

Add Valentino Rossi to the list of global sporting icons testing positive.
