I assume he's got a turbo set up rather than just rollers - I'd find turbo hard enough rollers for hours a day would kill me .

Good point about training without knowing for what

Rigoberto Uran reckons that only 3 WT will survive if the Tour does not happen this year.

So he is going to do badly in any post-lockdown races!

Most pros seem to be doing double days, a sensible way of doing that would probably be intervals on the turbo and some endurance on the rollers for sanity's sake.

I was trying to get hold of some rollers to put in the garden but cheap ones are hard to come by at the moment.

Doubt he gives a sh!t right now. I still maintain no races will happen for the remainder of 2020.

    Sagan too:

'I am a real cyclist, not a virtual one,' Sagan put bluntly. 'If this is gonna be the future, I don’t think so. Maybe I can do some races on Zwift with an electric bike. What do you think about that? Just kidding.'

He added, 'we will see how long this period will be, but Zwift races, with my condition, with what I’m doing, with my preparation and stuff, I don’t think so.'

However, while his usual rivals Greg van Avermaet, Oliver Naesen and Zdenek Stybar battle it at the 'Virtual Tour of Flanders', Sagan has drawn a clear line to racing online.

In fact, as he later said in his Instagram video, he is only just making friends with his indoor rollers.

There were reports that Sagan was falling out of love with it all anyway and some rumours in Belgium that this would be the last year.

it was true very early on that he doesn't really like the road anywhere near as much as other cycling and so I can see that if he finds that boring he's going to find training indoors unbearable.

These top guys like Valverde and Sagan - they don't need to prove anything.

It shows how hungry Froome is to prove he is still the #1 guy in Sky Ineos.

I'd be happy to sell you mine, but I suspect the exchange would be hard to arrange given the whole lock down thing, and you being in Manchester?

Yeah, plus I've not really got anywhere to store it, and the fact it'll probably completely stop being used as soon as lockdown ends!

interesting article, but just ike the Valverde one, it's one riders opinion with no facts.

Not saying Uran is wrong, but does he know the finances of all the WT teams

Not impressed by Monaco in the slightest.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Easy on a turbo trainer as you just rotate back...Holding it might be more of a challenge. People use similar things to practice learning where the balance point is.

    Rollers would be fun...

I've never been able to get started and stop on rollers. I've always needed someone to hold the bike until I got going and then catch me at the end. I'd then coach kids of 9 or 10 who would ride on rollers for half an hour with no hands on the bars the cocky little gits.

I used to hate being held by most starters in a TT as well. One or two got it spot on and I could even take my hands of the bars but most seemed to push you to where they thought your balance point was.

I admit I couldn't do it now - been about 10 years since I used rollers regularly.
