    Stephens and Backstedt - brilliant.
Hatch and Smith later I think they said.

It goes to show it's possible to fill the time with chat without being annoying. Lots of interesting chat about cycling in general as well as bits about the region. It makes for a nice bit of lazy Saturday background whilst getting a few chores done.

Looks as if we are going to get the remain Flandersclassics races on GCN/ES.
Gent-Wevelgem has appeared on German Eurosport schedules....

Now also on the Sky planner for Eurosport.

Assume itโ€™ll be on GCN as well but not showing yet.

Hatch and Blythe are fast becoming my favourite commentating pair

Wasn't it Lloyd and Blythe today?

Who are the lead coms these days? Kirby, Hatch, Been, Lloyd, Quigley. Anyone else - I know there is one other guy who I was impressed by last year? (excluding Boulting & ITV here). I feel a contest coming on.

    *****
Hatch & Blythe, Ned & Millar

    ****
Dan & Blythe, Rendell & Boardman/lil Pete (excellent pairings for early in the stage)

*** Matt Stephens & Backstead, Quigly. Marty McDonald & Dani Rowe

    **
    Been & Backstead

    ...still not far enough down

Can't remember which race it was, but the combination of Lloyd and Stephens set the standard earlier in the season.

    lil Pete as in Kennaugh?

Hatch and Blythe are probably my favourites too - really like Millar, but tend to stick to the ES broadcasts now pretty much without exception.

    Even he...

He's better at the early stage commentary/podcast. He gets nervous when he knows you can see his face

Anyone else find GCN freezes *a lot* while casting? I assume this is probably down to something at my end rather than GCN itself but thought I would ask. I found myself a couple of minutes behind live by the end of Flanders.

We have fibre to the door so I usually get very fast internet, up to 220 mbps but normally more like 180.

Weirdly if I just stream on my phone or laptop it is much smoother, seems to be specifically when casting.

Mine crashes a lot when I use a cable &adaptor from iPad to tv
  • Its hit and miss casting from my tablet to Google Chrome. Milan San Remo was terrible, E3 perfect and Flanders was somewhere in between

Het Newsblad it kept restarting for some reason, and I wasn't even casting then

All the Amstel Gold coverage on Sunday has disappeared from my Sky planner but is still listed on the GCN+ app?

EDIT: They've now reappeared but had to add them to the planner again?!?! Wondered if maybe they'd switched from ES1 to ES2 for some reason.

S4C have confirmed that they will again have live coverage of the Giro.
So, there will be a "free on tv" option for those without Eurosport/GCN.

This is good. This means the moron will be on the tour where there are alternatives. Hopefully, Hatch will get the Vuelta again then...

I pay for them too, because it worked out cheaper to have all of everything than tailor a package.

Used to have BT TV plus the sport pack. Found bar Eurosport for the pro races I only watched late stage Champions League matches, sometimes. So ยฃ19.99 for the Player per annum...

All things considered Eurosport player is excellent. I particularly like just being able to restart any programme based on the schedule.
