On a flat day tune in with 10km to go, except if Alaphilippe or de Gendt is in the race.

Finished with the shortest sprint in history, left so late Bennett couldn't get around him. The final.lead out only pulled off with less than 100m to go!

Was that a new dirty sprint tactic from quick step?

Ride near the barriers, lead out man peels off but maintains enough speed to box in the following sprinter.

  • Going to have to change the name of these races from Ride London to Crash London.
Ethan Hayter 10th. Another youngest rider in the race result.
Viviani just called it a sh*t small race that he had targeted. :)

Odd crash. The Bora guy went down near the front middle of the peloton and seemed to miraculously avoid getting hit by anyone else for what seemed an age then just as it seemed the rest were going to survive the pile up started.

So was the route changed because the loops affect fewer locals who complained about the race ruining their lives or because they really thought this route would be more exciting? Did they think there would be big crowds on Box Hill?

In other news I think Rochelle Gilmore has overdone the Botox. Her face doesn't move anymore.

I think ive read previously on here that she suffered serious facial burns when she was younger.

Neither does the pitch of her voice #notalldronesfly

Come on, criticise her insight and even her annoyingly grating voice but her looks or appearance shouldn't come into it. I don't like her as a pundit / commentator though. If the Beeb want a woman there are better options.

The comments about women’s looks all seem a bit 1970s. Grow up boys. No mention of baggy eyes Boardman. .

Not really. I'd say the same if it was a male host who looked like he'd had work done. People on tv like that are the reason more and more normal people are getting unnecessary surgery. At least Boardman looks bad for natural reasons.

Ffs, I didn't comment about her looks at all, just that she has a totally monotone delivery, exactly like I do about screaming Kirby.

Or does PC rules mean only men are open for criticism, these days?

So, it was just the one comment? Only "Grow up boys" suggested some of it was about me.
Fine. I'll jump off this roundabout now.

  • Young Bjorg Lambrecht has had a really bad crash in Poland. Has had to be resuscitated and airlifted to hospital.

  • Trying to post about something from Poland, other than the tragic news.

Fabio Jackobsen won the bunch sprint today, but was caught on the overhead camera, grabbing hold of Groupama sprinter, Marc Sarreau, to make room.
He has now been placed at the back of the bunch, but remains in the race.
Another example of UCI rule interpretation or inconsistency.

    Cav finished 6th.

Mohoric wins the last stage of the Tour of Poland. Pavel Sivakov wins the GC - which is sort of fitting as he and Lambrecht were big rivals at under 23.

At one point on the final climb, the GC bunch was past by a young lad, wearing a backpack.
Not a lot of ambition on display.

A perfect race for this thread starts this week - Tour of Utah. With a stellar field of nobodies, apart from the usual American names (Stetina, Dombrowski) and the other Quintana. It is a shame that the field is so bad because the American races are a great one for watching before bed in the evening.
