Seriously though, the pic of the girl getting sprayed in the face is disgraceful.

    Equal rights innit!?

    Only when it suits.

I wouldn't be impressed if it was done to a bloke either. It's not like she's actually being violent or resisting arrest in that photo.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

Even with the hold up, the race is only a few minutes down on the fastest schedule.

I think it is the nonchalant way he is spraying. Nothing about the picture demonstrates that he perceives she is a threat or he needs to protect himself from her.

Pippa Yorke taking the opportunity to spout more shiite about Sky and misquote SDB, on ITV 4.

She's suddenly and definitively picked a new target audience

I'm not sure the French necessarily feel they need a specific issue to justify having a protest. It's just something they do. Think Critical Mass. Or Morris Dancing.

According to INRNG's twitter, they were protesting about changes to how subsidies are calculated

Whilst I get the point of putting a man in the break, what happens to, say, Bardet if he punctures on one of the forthcoming climbs - presumably Naesen will get dropped fairly early, he'll then be left completely on his own. Same for Landa and Quintana, they must be down to a man each now?

Unless the race is really on, a puncture on a climb isn't that costly.
