Only really applies to Kittel, I feel. Cavendish didn’t have enough fitness off the back of his rough season. Groenewegen hurt his left knee on the Roubaix stage.

Short mountain stages with no extended lengths of flat have always been the bane of sprinters. The cut off is a multiplier, so the higher the proportion of actual climbing the harder the cutoff is to meet.

Meanwhile, Craddock is still on what looked like the yellow jersey group - he's just gone past Bernal. Has he cracked?
