I like it, but it seems to create a lot of dark matter.
  • Photographer had some faces in the reflection so had to remove them to not get anyone in trouble.

They're truly running out of ideas. Terrible.

agreed. Vroomen is much missed. though he created that monstrosity for 3T. so maybe not.

the S5 as was, was a very quick bike, I can't understand the need for a Stem/bar combo that looks like that. the S5 has dated badly in terms of looks.
  • I'm usually one for function before form, and while I'm sure it's super aero and saves those all important 2 watts over the competition... My god, that's disgusting

Road bike design is focusing in on very similar solutions. Do the Venge. Madone et al have many more ideas?

I think they’re all limited by the UCI rules more than a lack of ideas. Baffles me that the 6.8kg weight limit is still a thing.
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

They seem to have enough confidence in their bikes that they don't have to make this gimmicky sh1t that won't catch on. Except the dodgy venge bars

I like the look of the bars. What I find more ridiculous is that you could buy one of these instead with thousands of designed and manufactured parts.

I don't care that it's not PR. God damn I want one!!

Though I'm crushed theyve dropped the rasta colour scheme for this version.

Should I know what bike this is?

Not sure about the wonky wheel stays...

What's with the three 'dots' on the fork?
    Half man, Half bike
  • Wonky chainstays are normal nowadays to deal with chainline and discs (I think).

Dots - hole for racks / mudguards?

No. This isn't limited to Cervelo (although they're the main perps).

I don't care how fast they are.........................

    Null-Winds-Aerodefender_carbon-aero-partial-upper-wheel-fairings_aero-fenders_disc-brake.jpg
  • Surely the spokey-dokeys screw it up anyway, and the high front end, and the shallow wheels, and what's going on with the saddle.

Apaz the spokey dokeys are part of the ensemble:

"AEROCROSS Pro-Train wheels with aerodynamic SPOKE FINS™ swivel about the spoke like a wind vane for a smooth fast ride that is remarkably stable in crosswinds. Hand-built by Pro-Lite, strong alloy wheels with patented SPOKE FINS™ streamline spokes into self-aligning aero spokes to reduce spoke drag more than 3X against any crosswind."

The bike could have all the aero gimmicks in the world but with that position you know they're going to be sat like Pozzivovo
