Svein Tuft spoke to Eurosport after his run and he says that he had a tailwind for his effort, which he believes will help his teammate Simon Yates if it sticks.
"There were sections where I wasn’t really pushing but you’re still going 55kph," said Tuft.
"I think Tom made a really good point, if it is tailwind like I had myself, it’s really hard to go that much faster. I think, as long as it isn’t a block headwind, [Simon is] going to do quite well."

I see most of the barriers have relatively flat feet sticking out into the road, with the odd tubular hoop to catch out the unwary.

I'm guessing Yates will have slightly lighter gearing

Dowsett with a 58. We'll see how that worked out soon.

Same as Yates, if that's the case.

Dowsett reckons he needs the wind to change a bit to hold it.

Also saying his power wasn't quite there so he focussed on getting aero. JvE looks to be going well.

Why is Ballerini getting so much focus, is he actually any good at TTs or is it just a parochial TV director?

    Martin might have this....
