I'm hoping Cav's flip was better than faceplanting.

Have to refer to my call before he (nibz) moved:

    viewtopic.php?f=40002&t=13090349&start=100#p20313381

Still think it's only one step up from a tour sprint stage.

I must have missed out on why Nibs is such a hate figure. That was was true class. Brave and strong ride. Is there anyone better?

For me at least, I don't like Nibbles because he's a poop stirrer.

I had to laugh when I chanced upon an exhibition of Sicilian cycling last year in the city hall of Catania. No mention of His Nibz at all.

    It's this for me.
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

It was certainly classier than this:

That's the holding on to the car isn't it? I don't even need to look.

You're very consistent in your approval of those riders who do the most to entertain us with soap opera shenanigans

There has to be a copy of that video set to the wacky races theme tune.

Given that the actual spectacle is so boring, sh1tstirring is all that's left.

Cracking win. What on earth were the others thinking letting him go.

It's bike racing. I think he should be judged as a bike rider (the holding onto the car was stupid but he was punished. Everyone loves Sagan and he grabbed a woman ass....).

Everyone saying Sagan could win any way he wanted but came 6th.

It looked to me like he decided he wasn't towing anyone to the line and everyone else decided they weren't towing him there either.

More rides like today would certainly improve his image with us Angles

It got a bit "political" between Sagan and Kwiatkowski and they both nearly sat up.
The sprinters teams came through eventually, but a few seconds too slow. Might have taken them a while to bring their stars forward.

There did seem to be a slowing of the front group. it looked pretty big by the end.

Must admit at the top of the Poggio I didn't give him much chance but he was so strong after he got off the descent.

First non-bunch sprint winner for 6 years I think.

    What about last year?

I almost posted an “anyone but Sagan” post but decided it was a bit childish so didn’t - turns out it wasn’t quite “anyone but Sagan” and should have been more like “anyone but Sagan or Nibali”.

    Goddamit!

So basically you just dislike two of the most exciting riders in the peloton? :o

    Yeah fair point actually.

How far do you have to go back for the last solo victory?

31 riders within the first 5 seconds. One of the bigger bunches. Quickstep seem to have three on the front with a few 100 to go , but Viviani was their best finisher in 19th.

Don’t dislike Sagan, just not a fan of the hero-worship which surrounds him so would prefer for someone else to win.

Nibali on the other hand, I do dislike.

Couldnt watch it live given current employment but...

He's a bit of a clown Senori Nibbles but that was class!

Friebe will be pleased to see Sagan prepared to lose...

I'm not shaming, I was just questioning the dislike of Nibali. They're all great bike riders, if we're going to rate them for their morals I'm not sure Nibs is Mr bad guy.

From what i hear Cav has no broken bones but has more whiplash to deal with. Horrendous crash. Glad no serious injuries. Hope the wee man's luck changes soon.... #MSR

You get a sense of the whiplash here.

Awful crash, but he seems to stay loose and accept the inevitable.
