    They've always done that. Getting in the break has always been a bit political.

    I am aware of that, but never realised that in effect it is the sprint teams who rule with an iron hand, just so they have their silly sprints at the end. It should always be an open race.

    He could still have tried to go, but would have been chased down, shouted at, and we'd have had a one man break again.

    But for him personally, it's not worth it.

    For the race, the sprint teams (except QS) should have let him go, then launched their own men in the break when he was caught. But they didn't, and they won't today.

    If the other teams don't try something different today then they deserve to lose the stage to Kittel
