Why does the stage map show Sarlat twice (86k and 90.5k)?

Only if you're as good at subverting it as my daughters. This conversation literally happened within five seconds of leaving the ferry.

    "Something beginning with 'c'"
    "A cow."
    "No"
    ""Two cows"
    "No"
    "No cows"
    "No!"
    "I give up."
    "The beach."
    "What????"
    "That starts with sea..."

Eight hours of that followed until we got to our destination. Anyone wishing to adopt them is welcome.

I've got high hopes for MOTO 3 being back in action today.

    The important things.

It is available on the PC version, but still not on the Android.

I got told that it doesn't work on Android, so I replied and asked why it did last week. No reply.

I'm on a Mac and don't have it. I had it for the first few stages and then Moto3 disappeared quicker than Arnaud Démare from the back of the peloton.

I am on a PC and have no camera options whatsoever - it says multicam but no Moto 3 or anything

    Same.

Click on the TV schedule, and they are all there. Or click on the "Light version", and they are all there. It's a bit weird.

Naesen and Betancur getting plenty of TV time on MOTO 3 at the moment.

One is the village centre and the second is the feeding zone which has been designated as the Sarlat-la-Caneda Feed Zone

Ah thanks, I get them on the light version. Yay!

I know already had wines - but the Dordogne and Bergerac-Duras is home to one of my favourite sweet wines -Monbazillac - and I am getting bored with the racing or lack of same

made in perhaps one of the most stunning chateaux of the region

A good monbazillac is a fraction of the price of an average Sauternes and - obviously purely subjectively - a better wine. A good Sauternes is one of the best wines in the world - but just so expensive.

BIG NEWS. I've found Moto 3 on the Android Eurosport player app.

If you tap the screen while watching, there's a little "Multicam" icon appears, and you can select the motos from there. But... only while watching in landscape.

There's some mighty bottle fetching being done back there. And the Quebeka musette looks smart.

At least I've now had a good look at my holiday destination and think we've made a good choice. Hopefully it will be sunnier.

Thought that 'climb' looked a bit tougher than the figures suggested but definitely clutching at straws a bit to categorise it, there'd be dozens of climbs on some stages if they counted everything like that!

You have, this area is pretty much my favourite place on earth. I've spent many happy summers there, enjoy!

Had several happy childhood holidays on a camp site just up river from Domme, plus a classic French H&S-free canoeing trip down the Dordogne aged about 14 - just stuck in a kayak and told - "go that way". After about 40 minutes of going around in a circle I finally fathomed how to paddle in a roughly straight line and caught up with my parents who I think were expecting to see me floating face down in the river coming past them at any point!

Beautiful part of the world, must go back sometime.

CN liveblog making the very reasonable point that without Sagan (and now Demare) the green jersey looks quite interesting. Matthews on the harder stages and Kittel on the flats.

EBH has been looking good too. I thought Swift might be an outside chance but haven't seen him much since the first few days. I assume he's still in the race?

If Kittel keeps beating Matthews on the intermediate and finish of the flat stages, there's not a lot Matthews can do about it is there? Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday are the only ones Kittel might struggle to get to the intermediate sprint.

He is, but he has been recovering from the Sagan/Cavendish crash where he somersaulted over Cav and landed on his back

in all this etichette talk, has 2016's Chalet Reynard horse-trading (results negotiated & agreed in a round of phone calls) come up at all?

Anyone have any insider info on this?

It's the (ridiculous) jury decision that was taken after the shambles that was the Ventoux stage.
