I think the 3s rule is helpnig spread the bunch a bit making it less congested.Rich0 -
Is Greipel finished then?
He's been woeful so far.
Or is it the Giro that's done for him.0 -

Great lead out by McLay.0 -
Even the sprint was dull. Lucky the scenery was decent or it may have been the worst Tour day ever, there wasn't the transition day 'will they make it' break action as the break was too small and got closed at 5 minutes.0

At one point I assumed there'd been a pile up as there were only about 20 odd riders in the overhead shot.0 -

Not sure EBH could have got any closer to him the other day to be fair0 -
Boardman put it right, the sprint was naffed up cos so many were burnt out from the last few k.
Still, you can't fault Kidl for winning so easily.0 -

Kittel's positioning always seems terrible but he still manages to win by brute force. If his team did a proper lead out and positioned him well he would go from being the 'likely winner' to be absolutely unstoppable.0

So, this year the green jersey competition is just as one sided as usual, but without Sagan's quirky panache.
Take out the bonkers weekend and whats left has been absolutely dire."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
This is awful. Eliminate the last 5 riders on the boring stages to give them a bit of spice.0

It certainly aint vintage. More that bottle of plonk some cheapskate takes to a party but necks all your Picpoul0 -
Strategy to beat Kittel - something that Petacchi did to Cavendish once or twice.
Instead of having a lead out man - get on Kittel's wheel. Then your lead out man instead launches an attack at around he 700m. It breaks up the formula and forces everyone to sprint earlier. Result, you get Kittel as a lead out man. He may still be too strong, but he needs to be forced to move earlier.Twitter: @RichN950
