Leaders got caught again, so GVA just blew it apart, again.

GVA climbs well for a relatively heavy rider.

One thing this stage is helping with is that question many ask, and I've been guilty of myself, 'how does rider x keep getting a contract on a top team?'. It makes you realise how hard some of the domestiques have to work in the early stages when the cameras often don't pick it up.

Yep brutal job and they're phenomenal athletes that rarely appear at the end

Whoopsie Froome just rode into a hedge.

Froome goes off road while everybody is on a break!

In fairness to the TV companies, there's not been a moment of this race where they could have taken a break and something not happen.

Peloton look like they've given up on chasing the break.

Are the break going to be riding like grownups on the big climb or are they likely to be trying to drop eachother do we reckon? Not been a day for alliances really

The climb itself will break things up, there'll be minimal benefit in trying to work together once they're on it.

Valgren attempts to bridge to leaders. Looks pretty smooth. DK commentary gets all excited.

I like the real time distance gap and current speed graphics. It gives a good mental arithmetic work out trying to calculate how long it will take to close the gap based on current speed.

Coming down very quickly, if the timings are right (Millar has just expressed a little doubt about the timings).

Is Demare still in the race?

The TDF have stopped showing his time.

If the gap is coming down it's because Kwia is leading the descent :-)

Their stop watch probably doesn't have hours on it.

Remains of the break (half a peloton) swallowed up again. So Sky have Henao and Landa back.

New commentary high point: Rolf Sørensen was pro for 17 years but only learnt to pee off a bike after 15 of them. In case you're wondering, to the right.
Sure the canondale rider in the break just appeared to have ignored this.

I wondered if it was too embarrassing for France ?

Well ridden by Valgren. Think he's at QS next year.

Alexis Vuillermoz overtook me on Mont du Chat once. I was suffering and he just skipped past. Not fair.
