Whatever makes you feel better MSR. I'm not here to judge people on intelligence or otherwise. I don't really care, and I think intelligence broadly is overrated anyway.

    Yeah - I don't really care either.

In any case, I don't think intelligence is necessarily the issue at stake but more about how informed people are.

Until very recently, I was a total stranger to the world of benefits. Through my daughter, I think I now understand far better and so I'm far better informed to understand policy. Same could be said for the NHS. I've always been close to education because of my kids and because my wife works in the sector. Etc. I think that's what age gives you - exposure to life and an understanding of policy based upon that.

and age gives you the experience to make a rational appraisal of the warnings of doom and promises of milk and honey. Pre-Corbyn we had 20 years of consensus politics in which we were just changing the emphasis.

So in three weeks she's blown her parliamentary majority, given away a billion quid and abandoned almost all of her manifesto promises.

    Superb work.

Plus the cost of maintaining the triple lock. And maintaining the winter fuel payment. Those bits that were unsustainable a few weeks back.

But... the £1bn will be made available to the power-sharing Executive. So isn't available until there is one?

Very much so, ignorance is a far bigger issue than levels of intelligence.
If everybody was well informed a few would not have the wit to process the information. This number would be significantly smaller than the number that are currently ill informed.

Just how thin is the line between this deal and bribery?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

It's just a grant. Not bribery, not related to Barnett. Nothing to see here...................

    what does this mean?
No Irish border poll without "consent of the people"

this seems to leave a lot of wriggle room and indicate wider thinking
Cash support for farmers will remain at current levels until the next election

    1. Hard Brexit results in a hard border without any poll on the matter.
    2. Cash support gets cut after November.

Reflect on how a bunch of climate denying dinosaurs you had to Google a fortnight ago have kicked the s**t out of the government for 10 votes they had anyway.

    Should go well for Brexit

How much was Corbyn promising to give away in order to secure votes? This is small beer by comparison.

As you keep telling everyone, they didn't win. Who cares what they promised. Point is, the DUP would have voted with the government anyway for fear of giving JC the slightest advantage. The so-called concessions were effectively off the table anyway. So what was the money for?
