First faller and the winner ;)

Coincidentally I also picked one for Arthur! Totally by chance.

Start delayed until 11.15am due to forecast tailwind.
Still about the same time for Arenburg yeah? Was aiming to get to rapha about 1.30

Genuinely makes me a bit emotional!

I was really catastrophically hungover for PR last year (Brewdog AGM...), the last 50k of that race brought me back from the dead.

There's a Zwift Stories one about it as well which is similar but a bit less OTT.
Also worth a listen is Mitch Docker's podcast were he interviews Hayman before and after the race. The after is about a month after as Docker had a bad crash in the race, but the before is the night before. And the last five minutes are quite wonderful - a old pro looking back at 'could have been' moments, knowing that his chances have probably gone, but just can't stop dreaming.

Thanks - listened to that while dozing lightly on the sofa after doing an unreasonable amount of elevation this morning.

Main issue is Mitch talking over Hayman all the time, although generally good.

Think so. The start was put back to make sure the schedule fit roughly with the trains... don't want 2015 again.

Original schedule has this (local times)
    Début de secteur pavé de la Trouée d'Arenberg (19) 14h45 (44km/h) 14h56 (42km/h) 15h07(40km/h)

So 1:30 should do, though the earlier the better, obvs, to watch the bullying for position before they get there.

My favourite race of the year. Just need to get to my parents' before they hit Arenburg so that I can watch their Eurosport and be fed lunch!

Going to be a long old battle to get the break sorted.

Going to be some even more tired legs than usual at the end of the day. Been full gas for about 50km.

So if you were stuck on a crappy little french border town, where would you try and find the race on TV?

(Alternatively, around Geneva airport, but i suspect that's less likely...)

28 cobble sections to go and the break have 46seconds, the peloton was lined out after the cobbles, now keeping it tranquil with two just off the front
