agree completely but that hasn't stopped mad vlad and his bunch of imbeciles before....Pross said:
Presumably the Ukrainians would just target any engineers trying to patch it up? I’m no military expert but always thought that was a common tactic.MattFalle said:Depending on what the actual damage is, you can just stick an HGOB on it. Sorted.
its actually pretty difficult to completely take out a mahoooosif bridge..The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.

Just guessing that they might have been hoping to hit the shipping channel bridges to make repairs more problematic. Still, whatever, not a bad result... might have grabbed Vlad's attention, and made them realise that Crimea isn't safe.0

always the hope that they planted multiple charges, blowing it again (and again) would sow more fear and uncertainty among the invadersbriantrumpet said:Just guessing that they might have been hoping to hit the shipping channel bridges to make repairs more problematic. I guess that's why they are trying to persuade the US to give them longer range missiles, to do exactly that sort of thing.MattFalle said:Just dmssh the remainder of it with HYMARS and save the hassle tbh - if structursl damsge is done just topple it over.

Ah, I think my guess is confirmed... the Ukrainian Post Office looks like they might have had advance notice, given the commemorative stamp they released the same day...

Just read an official update on Twitter that said ‘…so far, Ukraine has only responded in memes’.0

Yeah that rail section is fine. What it needs now is a train pulling a load of very heavy tanks on it.

Haha, I like it even more that they're keeping Vlad in the dark... "Us, no, um, maybe... who knows? Sleep well, Vlad."0 -
The resumption of missile attacks on Kjiv is a clear sign that the Russians are on the back foot and Putin needs to save face.0
-
And of course, while the bridge walloping was a clear act of terrorism, indiscriminate Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian cities is absolutely not.0

This. General consensus seems to be that it was Kalibr cruise missile he knocked out. That celebration!

have to hope the new air defence systems being shipped in will help them stop more missiles
given the local unrest, it'd be a good time to spread a little death among the iranian leadership, aside from torturing and killing their own people, they've been selling attack drones to the russians for use in ukraine

I'm not sure why they report Putin accusations of 'terrorism'.0 -
yep, earlier saw a report they'd shot down 43rick_chasey said:Apparently 70 missiles went out and only 30 landed
russia can still stand off and launch from long range, allies are reluctant to give the ukrainians anything similar in case it gets used against russian territory
inevitably that leaves them in the position where anything less than 100% effective defence means russia can succeed in killing more civilians and destroying more infrastructure
russia's new commander isn't army and has a murderous reputation, he'll have no qualms about launching missiles against civilian targets, have to assume he's behind this

One can only hope that he falls out of a window
Maybe I have the wrong country but one of the gulf nations has a bit of civil unrest due to lack of water supplysungod said:have to hope the new air defence systems being shipped in will help them stop more missiles

They have NASAMS due imminently. They need way more though.sungod said:have to hope the new air defence systems being shipped in will help them stop more missiles

Ivan also launched approx 80 cruise missiles or ‘smart’ missiles. Many of the former were ancient lumbering things, which is why those lads in the video were able to bring one down. That’s got to be a huge blow to their dwindling stocks. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s all we’ll see for a while now.0

I may, or may not be one of the Fellas, but I'm definitely not CIA...1 -
What I like about NAFO is it’s the same idea the Russians came up with re information warfare, but it’s just an up-to-date version that realises the value of humour.
Russian efforts are stuck in 1982.
I’m no doubt swallowing a lot of Ukrainian propoganda, and I’m OK with it - that’s when you know it’s working.0 -
