The latest tally on Oryx is:

    Russia - 2609, of which: destroyed: 1352, damaged: 38, abandoned: 237, captured: 982

Of that the tanks score is:

    Tanks (448, of which destroyed: 219, damaged: 6, abandoned: 41, captured: 182)

Note how many have been ‘captured’. Ukraine has lost many tanks, but they’re now well into the black with new Russian toys.

That captured % is comically high. Is that anything like normal, if there is a normal?
    In a word - No

I'd expected some mention of Boris' visit to meet Zelensky in Kyiv...

The Ukraine govt seem appreciative of what we are doing overall. Quote from the article:
In a Facebook post, Andriy Sybiha, deputy head of the Ukrainian president's office, said: "The UK is the leader in defence support for Ukraine. The leader in the anti-war coalition. The leader in sanctions against the Russian aggressor."

Credit where it’s due I think the Government have done a good job in supporting the Ukraine with military supplies and diplomacy.

agree on supplies and diplomacy, on the refugee front they're been a total snd unmitigated disaster and embarrasment and should be held to account.

Zelensky has proven to be a master at modifying his message depending upon his audience. Probably realises the best approach with Boris is to massage his ego and allow him to think of himself in a Churchillian type role.

The fact Zelensky is/was a comedian is sometimes used to suggest it's an odd choice for leader.

By contrast, I'd say comedians are generally incredibly bright and capable of viewing situations with both a critical and agile mind.

the fact de pffeffel is a lying, cheating, adulterous, bully, spoilt rich kid multiple sacked for lying racist failure of a foreign secretary balloon head is sometimes used to suggest its an odd choice for a leader.

Best have a word with the senior Ukrainian official who said it then.

It doesn't matter who said it. It's either true or it isn't. They're not going to say "Yeah, he gave us some missiles, but we still think he's a cxxt...."

Some of it is subjective to be fair, but he's saying it for a reason. Difficult for some people to give Boris credit sometimes as mentioned above, but in this case I think credit is due.

Yes, some credit is due for him going there. But it doesn't change my overall opinion of him. I still think he's a lying, grifting, bungling, sack of sh11t.

Even lying, grifting, bungling, sack of sh1ts have to present an image to their marks.
Marks in this case being the party and the electorate.

It's quite cute that you're so desperate for a few anonymous people on a cycling forum to praise Johnson when he actually gets something right.

What, you mean it wasn't a photo op at all taking up time and assets from units that are already really busy?

The desperation not give BJ credit for anything on here is pretty clear. Sometimes a bit of balance is needed.

Although that said, it was a senior Ukrainian official who was giving him the credit - I was just passing on the info. Have you had a word with him about his desperation? ;)

Q is though how much of this is de pffeffel doing a Thatcher and how much of it is the FO/6 pushing it?

Given his general evidenced ways methinks de p and the rest of the tory scum wouldn't generally give two hoots of a lamb to it - probably get in the way of a good party/climing non dom status application.

I love how the bar is so low that literally not f@cking every single thing up is classed as a win.

That's credit I guess, albeit through clenched teeth :)

What do you think of the Ukrainian praise for the UK that I posted above?

I read in the Times that the Govt specifically asks Ukraine to be very vocal. Whether true or not I think Zelensky is clever enough to spot how needy Boris is and play him like a banjo.

So what is your view of von der Leyen doing the same the day before?
Or were you not aware that she popped into Kyiv on Friday?
