    Sounds like a load of bollox to me. How many times have paratroopers done operational jumps in any major army since WW2? They are still usually among the best trained infantry and I don't really see why that would be different in Russia even if there are a handful of wannabee Attitude cover boys amongst them.

    The Yanks went into Panama via parachute to liberate all those shoes, and they did a mass jump during the Iraq invasion, but it's mostly been Special Forces HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) or HAHO (High Altitude High Opening) stuff since then. MF will possibly know more.

    My daughter had a St David's Day trip to Parliament and Downing Street with the Royal Welsh when she was having treatment at the children's hospital. Shenkin was the goat mascot then and went up in his trailer with them. He decided disgrace himself by sh1tting all over the floor when they were visiting the Welsh Office.
